Wouldn’t Zion be that guy? In a Point Zion scenario, he still guards the 4. On offense you don’t replace a shooter with a big and on defense he is playing his normal position.

No, it’s harder for you to get by me if I’m a step or two away from you as I can move and react to what you are doing. It’s also easier for you to shoot a deep shot so you’re less likely to try to drive by me anyway.

Basketball is weird. Ball movement is usually between two extremes: either one player holds the ball for the entire possession (Harden and the Rockets) or the ball flies around the court faster than the defense can respond (death lineup Warriors).
As a result of that, I watch games differently for different teams. There’s no point watching anyone other than Harden for 90% of the time for Rockets games but it’s perfectly fine to matchup watch for Warriors games because any player can get the ball at any time.

A lot of hardens moves are travels because he shuffles for extra distance. This move is essentially a jump stop but going backwards instead of forwards.
