What a chicken little take this is. Did you ever think that Ensminger being the guy he is, was giving all the credit to everyone but himself because he's humble. Ensminger is the OC. At the end of the day he made the calls. Bottom line. Brady helped with implementation and breaking down previous drives. Ensminger made the plan and executed real time.

Trust the system.

Its OK...

... to be concerned about the RB situation IF Clyde is out. He was a major part of the success we had this year and I hate the idea of him not being able to play, even more so for him, because of the season he has had.

It is also ok to remember that we do not know anything for sure on this, other than that he sustained an injury. I trust that the same coaching staff that took us to 13-0 this year, will be able to put together a game plan that allows us to compete for the NC.

I surely hope that game plan includes CEH, but if it doesn't we recruit big time guys to come in and fill those holes if needed.

Here's hoping for the best in either case!

GEAUX TIGERS!

Emery

This may have come up previously, but have to say I was a little bit caught off guard when Curry came in at the end rather than Emery. Anybody got any insight on this?
I was in the stadium for the game. They initially showed the foot out of bounds and they all lost their minds, but then they showed him reestablishing. None of them are football savvy enough to understand how the rule works.

Myles Garrett is Trash

Posted by BigTiger14 on 11/15/19 at 5:23 am
He was trash at A&M and he continues to mimic his Alma Mater by being trash at the next level as well.
Lets look at the numbers on this question:

1) It is hard to replace a Heisman QB
2) Best WR based on statistics is Jamar Chase, who will return, along with Terrace Marshall, and Thad Moss.
3) We have rotated several OL this year, so while we lose 2 we still will have plenty of experience returning, not much drop off there.
4) Best 2 DBs is questionable, Fulton has been outstanding this year, Delpit has been a bit of a letdown for sure. Stingley returns along with everyone else.
5) Brady just got paid, and Aranda isn't leaving.

Add to that a number 1 recruiting class and a top 5 from last year...

Stop hoping...

We are here to stay
I would say my concern level is Medium at best. All of last season and into the beginning of this season, all we heard was how much better we would be with Ed Ingram back in the starting rotation. He will be fine covering at Guard, Magee will slide to Tackle and do fine, and I believe O said that Traore would fill the hole on the opposite Tackle. He has been a drop from our starters, but he has game time experience and should do fine against an Ole Miss pass rush that is nothing to write home about.

I was in the stadium, I thought it was weak. They timed it right before LSU was going to snap the ball, when we were waiting for a timeout to finish with 15 seconds or less. It was a definitely predetermined distraction. One of many that they used during the game to try to affect LSU's momentum. Not saying it wasn't good strategy, just not what I expected from such a "superior team."

Tigers whipped that a**.

And I loved it.
quote:

Tua had a clear shot to run for a TD and tried to dump off instead for an incompletion

If you watch the play there was a safety spying from the end zone, but regardless of his decision not to run, they scored on that drive anyway. They scored as many as they were going to score, we just scored more.

We are leaving on Friday, traveling to Meridian, MS for the night and driving into T Town in the morning.

Looking to meet up with some fellow Tiger fans on Saturday morning before the game.

Traveling to the Game

Posted by BigTiger14 on 11/5/19 at 5:46 pm
My Pops and I will be making a road trip to the game this weekend.

Couple of questions I had may have come up on the board already, but I will ask again.

Where would you guys recommend parking if we are heading back to LA after the game is over.

Also, where will LSU fans who are making the trip be spending game day before the game?

Thanks for the insight.
I couldn't agree with you more about Helaire, he has been everything we have needed from a back this year.

But we have had some really great backs come through here that have been stalemated through no fault of their own, because of our obvious lack of a passing threat.

Can only imagine what those guys would do in this offense as well.

It is definitely an awesome place to be when you have so much confidence in an offense and specifically the QB's ability to win you games.

Big season on our hands that we will all remember for a long time.

Thoughts On LSU Running Game

Posted by BigTiger14 on 10/31/19 at 12:42 pm
Is it far fetched to think that the recent surge in the running game has been brought on by the fact that teams are now coming into the game prepared for the Pass first?

What a novel idea that has been preached for years with regard to LSU if so.

We have consistently gotten more success running the football, specifically in these big SEC matchups, against teams with stout D Lines.

There is no doubt that the concern brought on by the passing threat has forced teams to give up something up front, allowing us to establish outstanding running games on top of an already prolific passing attack.

I am excited to see how Bama chooses to attack from a defensive standpoint, and how it is different from years past.

Cant wait for next weekend, I sense something special.
I agree that we should look at previous years with caution, but to assume that just because you lost last year and the previous years, means you have little to no shot at winning this year basically insinuates that we will just never beat them again.

Simply a pessimistic view. While there are some on this board who choose to live life this way, I choose to believe in the promise of Joe Burrow and Joe Brady and Coach Eaux and Dave Aranda. This is a special team with destiny to fulfill and this is how you do it.

Just WIN!

:geauxtigers:
Just so we are clear,

Auburn penalties - 15 for 98 yards

LSU penalties - 12 for 118 yards

Seems like a pretty evenly called game, albeit sloppy.

Calls were missed on both sides of the ball in pretty blatant fashion, but to claim that LSU had home cooking is plain ignorant.

You are a troll and a moron
I do agree with this and I think that under normal circumstances this is definitely true.

But in this case you also are faced with recent history between the schools.

Bama will be confident because of the last 8 years.

LSU needs to be confident in what they have proven so far this year. We truly have shown to be the best team in the country and we need to walk into that God forsaken place and show the Gumps that we are here to stay as we walk out with a W!

Joe wins the Heisman in two weeks and LSU rolls into the playoffs.

Lets GEAUX!
Point being that had we beaten TAMU and FU like we should have, we would have potentially beaten out OU for the fourth spot in the playoff.

Hence the National Title Contention portion of the comment.
