FWIW .. getting hints of Autumn's arrival. Monarch scouts and the flowering of monkey grass - North Texas. Maybe early season fronts keep a lid down further South?
There a GoFundMe for this, or nah?

3) Any good resources on using the subway / passes to get around?
Google Maps works fine to get you from place to place on the subway. You can just tap to pay using phone or credit card. (I would usually hand my daughter a CC as we approach a turnstile and then collect it from her after, to speed everything up)

4( Transport to/from LGA - Uber? Shuttle? Train/subway?
Uber works well - I will usually schedule a car service to and from the airport(s).
The train sucks because you have to go bus > train > maybe a transfer somewhere (depending on where your hotel is) > street walking, all while schlepping your shite around. Just get an Uber or car service and have them drop you at the front door. (It's BETTER from JFK and Newark, but only if your subway stop is near your hotel.)

Let's start with the border. Does the influx of over 30 million illegal immigrants into this country help or hurt wages, inflation, and job availability?
Why has no administration done anything of value to change immigration over the last 40 years?

Tonight we got a positive pregnancy test and we are both over the moon. It was the perfect ending to the trip.
I hope it goes well for you, internet stranger.
I am planning (posted about it last week) a trip to Utah and Wyoming, with my 10 year old that joined the family after many fertility issues.

I’ve seen some pretty gross idolization this weekend for this bitch.
It reminds me of when the Israelites created the golden calf and worshipped it.
Or like when people worship game show hosts, amirite?

How is the Rush mode? Sounds like it's better and replaced Volta, which I don't think I ever tried.
I think Rush is awesome, except for shite birds that refuse to pass.

I assume it will match the court for the NBA Cup, which was purple and green last year :dunno:

Looks like NBA League Pass will be free this weekend . It is their usual opening season promotion. Looks like I will be able to watch the Pelicans a few more times before I have to figure out my next step.
$5 bet on FanDuel gets you three months of League Pass for free.
That will get you to January.
It's always cheap after the All-Star break. :dunno:

re: How incredible were the events surrounding the ‘89 Earthquake Series?

First off, how often do sizable earthquakes happen in the US? They are few and far between. How often do they happen in a place like Alaska versus a place with high population. The fact that the Loma Prieta quake happened in a densely populated area is notable, but to happen during a World Series played by two teams from that area is incredible.
Republicans still had control of the weather machines back then

for 2 hours last week and one customer came in to browse. Middle class America has things locked down.FTR, this is going to get ugly with mortgages and car payments and because people simply can’t make the numbers work. Insurance alone is a fricking horror show.
People stopped trying to keep up with the Joneses and started trying to live that social media famous life.
We bought a C+/B- house more than 10 years ago. Refi'd during CoVID, took 10 years off the note, and took out no additional money.
We drive one old-arse car and one 4 year old car that has a $300 note.
(And we're top 5% income earners in Louisiana.)
Too many people trying to live WAY above their means.
"The economy is fricked" rings hollow when you're trying to float a $5K mortgage and two $1K car notes.
(The economy is fricked for a wild number of reasons - few of which are tied to any one particular politician, past or present.)
