lol dude just kept playing “Best I ever had” on a loop!
The youngest kid on Home Improvements(Mark) is GOAT for me. AJ prob ranks pretty high too though.
I think you have to like Season 1, by about episode 3 or 4. If season 1 doesn’t grab you, then it’s unlikely the rest of them will. This was a show that built off of each season, and had some of the greatest main character arch’s ever…… but again, if you aren’t vested in any of the main characters in season 1, you prob aren’t gonna give a shite how their stories play out

2003 Arkansas had a first round lineman named Shawn Andrews that did it. I was a kid and I was pissed.

And that same year, (well the MNC the previous year) Willis McGahee was injured late in the Fiesta Bowl vs Ohio State, and that started a lot of conversations in the 2003 Bowl Season IIRC. Lol but it certainly wasn’t a popular decision at that time, for anybody.
Thank you! I’m gonna watch it tonight.
Where is it currently streaming?

I’ve been meaning to watch this since I saw the trailer in 2017…. lol but just like you said, lost in the shuffle.
“Hey, Dammit! Stop stabbing your brother!”

It’s “The Objective.”

Such a dark and very creepy movie. Afghanistan has so many tales of why it stays UNDEFEATED throughout history, and this movie seems like just as plausible of an explanation as any. :speechless:

And it was very well done, for what seems like a low budget, late at night IFC movie IMO. Very decent actors who don’t overplay anything, and pretty much capture the underlying fears of the unknown and potential supernatural forces that always seem present in combat.

Absolutely not. My wife and kids have given me more joy in life than I could ever have had without them.

Me too! I just literally reflected back, and my life has been exponentially better with them in it. I really LEGIT don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything, but especially none of my old hobbies/habits.

knew a girl years ago whose first name was Collins. I was like what is her last name, Jessica?

And wasn’t “Collins” the name of the daughter in “The Blind Side”???
:ahh:

That’s a horrific and painful MF injury man! Looks as horrible as I’m sure it feels.

I stumbled onto it a few years ago, (I think like early 2021) and it quickly became one of my most watched/go-to shows, and probably most quoted at this point…. But it’s the perfect show, if you just wanna laugh, turn your brain off, and not have to think about shite.

It never gets old to me.
Just saw like 2 days ago, the movie is either in production or it’s about to be. I’m never a huge fan of nostalgic remakes BUT I’m all in for a Fall Guy premise!

That was some kind of bombed out stadium or something? Recall exactly (or close to it) what or where?

Yeah, it was the Parade Stadium/Cross Sabers in the IZ(Baghdad). This was from January of 2007.

Man, I still kind of get goose bumps when I see the still photos. The video itself was just too dark and grainy, so it’s way easier to chalk it up to an optical illusion or weird shadow/lighting etc. But every time (going back 16 years or whatever it was), I get this same uneasiness in my gut, because I know there’s an explanation or a reason other than “ghosts” but I don’t know what it would be. And I’ve since talked to one of the others from the video, and it just made me double down on the fact that nobody was there that day other than us, and the guy in the pic also swears he could see well enough in the darkness, especially walking towards the light, and 100% certain there were no people. And there were certainly no babies/children or whatever the smaller objects are that look like children would’ve been within at least a few mile radius of the parade stadium at that time.

ETA: PLUS not even to mention the interpreter walked right through all of them in that image without flinching.

ETA 2: and those stairs lead up to a huge hole in the wall. It’s like you would walk up those stairs, then you’d be looking down 20-30 feet, just like it’s off a cliff. That part also always weirds me out.

Michael J Cocks been around? GOAT ghost thread

Lol I was just lurking/scrolling for the 1st time in a while.

And OP, this sounds just like that “people living in your walls” shite I just read about a while back. Sounds more like a physical being, or potentially an animal(like a raccoon or something)…. They’re very smart and resourceful creatures, and good at using their hands. I saw a big fricker try to open our glass front door about 20 years ago (on Vernon Lake) just outside of Leesville. If I’d been inside when it happened, I would’ve sworn it was a human trying to get in, with all the aggressive racket it was making.
