Garmin Smartwatch Feedback

Posted by LBro337 on 8/5/26 at 12:06 pm
Morning gents,
Looking for personal feedback regarding the Garmin Smartwatches. While I'm newish to running (working on 3 months 4-5 days a week), I want something to help monitor pace, heartrate, steps, etc... I haven't worn a watch in 15+ years. I have been using the Nike Run app as my primary source of a "training guide" since I began. And I know, google is your friend but I'd rather get the input from this group. Much appreciated!! :geauxtigers:

I recently got 2 (black and Tan) from Bengals and Bandits and very nice quality. Shot my best round in the black one so I am sold on the performance capabilities lol :geauxtigers:
I've had mine for right around 11 years. 72" Outlaw XP w/ Kawasaki engine. Like others have said, very solid mower. Routine maintenance done and only bigger maintenance I've done is spindle a few years back and also recently had to change fuel pump and carb. Cuts very well but I will agree that it is not as smooth of a ride as other mowers I've had (ill contribute that to the larger deck size and not purchasing the suspension seat). I have 12 acres but only mow about 8 of them with the badboy.

I also took some lessons which did help my swing path thus making better contact but there numbers are there now. Is it a result of one or both? All I know is I'm hitting 260-275 depending on the day when previously I was avg 215-220.

I recently upgraded my 2012 TM R11 to the Callaway Quantum Triple Diamond. We're similar in HC and I can tell you, I've added roughly 40-50 yards on my drives. I got fitted at 1.50 Golf in Covington.

Whiskey and Vine is a solid place for drinks, pre or post dinner.
Appreciate the info, I’ll do that next time I head to Sam’s/Super1
Yes, basically this. Unfortunately the butterball brand is not always a perfectly whole and intact turkey breast when compared to HEB. Often times, there are multiple pieces of a turkey breast placed in a net with the butterball brand.
Hello All. I’m looking to see if anyone on this board has had any luck finding fresh/frozen boneless whole turkey breast? I cannot for the life of me find any in the 337 region. I usually smoke these for the holidays but would like to do more. Wife’s family lives in Texas so I’ve only ever been able to find them at HEB.

Steven Seagal and I were crime fighting detectives
I brought my now 2 year old to a game on a Sunday last year for his 1 year birthday. He was chill and it wasn't a bad experience for myself, my wife (no pics) or our son. He was shown on the big screen and it was a great way to celebrate for all of us. However, as many have mentioned, it's all depended on your kid. Worst case, kid loses their mind and you have to leave sooner than expected. Make some memories with the youngster!

Just an update after playing Saturday. IMO, really nice course. Everyone we encountered that day was friendly and appreciated us visiting. Greens were in really good shape but challenging to read. Plenty of areas to get in trouble (Sand/water).

Tiger Point Golf Club

Visiting Florida this weekend for a wedding and was offered to play at Tiger Point GC. Can anyone give me any insight/intel on this course? :geauxtigers:
I understand your situation. My driver is my worst club in the bag. Bought it from a buddy and while I can hit it consistently, I never get good distance (210-225ish). I've been playing more and more and the wife (no pics) even notices my lack of ball driving ability. She wants me to go get fitted so I am taking her up on that offer. Excited to see the outcome. Where did you end up going to get fitted? I was advised to go to 1.5 Golf in Covington.
Looking to see if anyone has any recommendations for an instructor around/near Crowley? FWIW, 19.5 HCP (I’m terrible I know.) I generally shot anywhere from 90-100 in 2025. I feel my main issue is lack of consistency on my 2nd/3rd shots and I struggle club head speed with my driver (Carry 220 yards). My goal for 2026 is to break 90 consistently.

110% dude. Without a question. There are very hard days in the beginning, however after about 6 months (for me at least) it has been a breeze. My boys bring so much joy and happiness into my wife and I's life. My oldest, nearly 2, is my absolute best friend and I cant wait to watch him grow up. Do it, without hesitation. :geauxtigers:

Good morning fine people! At the hospital, holding my newborn, wife resting, sipping some community coffee! Blessed beyond measure! Geaux Tigers!
Went swing a few at the local golf shop and ended up picking up a 60* TM Hi-toe. Felt really good and balanced. We'll see how it acts on the course today or tomorrow.
