re: Cancer...Is the pain or the mental battles the worse?

[quote]Radiation destroyed my throat and mouth.. 17 months later still have significant issues, like no sliva and scar tissue making it hard to swallow.
Same here. Had 33 treatments of radiation 10 chemo. Im 11 months in recovery. Doing better than some i guess still a few throat issues but over all ok. Mentally this crushed me way worse than the treatments. Good news is the tumor is gone and im getting better, many people a lot worse off, i'm Blessed!

Neil's Automotive on Pecue Ln. He is really good with motor repairs. You prob have a rear main seal leak which means they will have to remove the transmission to get to the rear seal, and Neil is really reliable, check him out.

My gun sits between the seat and the middle seat in front of the seatbelt and there is a small towel over it.
You guys that place your gun with magnets on or below the steering column where you do hide it when you park and get out your truck ?

re: Pellet Grill

Take a good look at the PB 1600 Pro Series Elite. Ive had this pit for 6 months and cook on it just about every weekend. It is by far the nicest grill ive had yet and i have had many. I ordered mine from Lowes and they called me when it came in and i just went and picked it up.The grates are stainless and so easy to clean. Yes it's a little pricey but worth every penny.Hope this helps.

add a soft start to that AC unit and you can easily run it and everything else with that size gen or a little less.
The W-gen9500 by Westinghouse is a good buy.

I just purchased the Pit Boss 1600 Elite, I did a good bit of looking at many different ones and decided on this one. Just put it together last night and about to the the initial burn off. I can’t wait to start cooking on it, I’m gonna do a brisket first. Good Luck with your search.

re: Circuit Breaker Question
Posted by FISH N TIGER on 6/27/22 at 5:22 pm
Do you have a disconnect for that heater ? If so turn off the breaker and go pull the disconnect and see if it got hot, this happened to ours once and the inside of the disconnect box was melted so had to replace it plus get a new breaker.
The cause of the problem was a loose neutral on the bus bar. Might also wanna check that as well.

If you have water dispenser and it’s working then it should be making ice. If you have never changed the filter then you should right away.
re: Generator advice

I just Ordered the WestingHouse Wgen 20,000 portable generator. Also ordered a soft start for the ac.
The generator has 2-50 ports and were trying to see if we can use both to power the breaker panel, so yeah 100 amps if it works. My neighbor is an electrician so all i need to do is help him with the install.

re: Mowing economics: How many times a year do you think you mow your lawn per year?
Posted by FISH N TIGER on 8/19/21 at 2:49 pm
[quote]36-45 per year. Few acres. 2.5 hours per mow.
There are only 52 weeks in a year, so unless you are mowing 2-3 times a week ( which you ain't ) you not even mowing 35 a year.

re: “Invisible” dog fence

[quote]Not if you actually train your dog. If you already put the time in to have a decent dog it shouldn’t take more than a week or two to have them trained on a fence
First off i do and have trained many dogs. Second you, me and everyone on this board knows as soon as you are out of site and your well trained dog see's another dog, he's gone!!
Third, you are either trolling or don't have a dog, never had a dog or an electric fence.

re: Any of y’all replaced shocks on a pickup truck? Also, oil pressure sensor
Posted by FISH N TIGER on 5/18/21 at 7:13 am
[quote]Damn, oil pump?
Good chance it is. I have the same truck except a year older, loss of oil psi and tapping at idle. I ended up having the oil pump and pick up tube replaced and sensor as well. The shop i took it too checked the psi with their equipment and was really low which is why i was getting the lifter tap. Bill was about 800 bucks but truck runs good as new now and psi back like when i bought the truck.

If those guys aren't rookies they should know about how long the job will take if they know exactly what you want done and should be able to give you a set price for the work.
My advise from someone that's in that type of biz a set amount should be settled ''Before'' the job starts.
