I just remember it being loud as hell and everyone going nuts for what felt like an hour but was probably 5 minutes

You get a call that he's accepted to LCA and will get better coaching and MUCH better schooling and Christian learning.

First, LCA will accept anyone who is a good athlete so getting accepted there isn’t exactly hard.

Also LCA isn’t exactly known for their academics.

The only time I see Brady do it is in an elimination game/Super Bowl

He did it against the Rams this year

We just beat the shite out the team you fake diehard for

How did they work out last year after the Clippers opening day championship?

I’m not sure if this is a basketball or football thread

Doesn’t matter. Somehow Adrian Martinez threw another INT.

They won like 5 games a couple years ago

That happens at small colleges when you have a shoestring budget. They also have some NCAA tournament appearances and SLC postseason success sprinkled in.

Compared to the other non-LSU state schools the Demons are doing pretty good. I’d say only Tech and UL have had more success.

Coach Mac has always believed that you need to schedule tough teams to get better. Yes there is a risk of getting blown out but if you want to have D1 success you can’t be afraid of playing those teams.

Demons hung in pretty well against Gonzaga.

Why does NSU want to torture themselves like this

Not afraid to challenge the big boys unlike some teams.

Anyone. Anytime. Anywhere.

Demons have had success under Coach Mac so I think they know what they are doing.
Reminds me a lot of the season opener last year.

Vogel said this isn’t the normal rotation. Trying to spread minutes out to help them get their legs under them with the short turn around from the playoffs.

Pieces are definitely there to make another run.

Going to be interesting how the Clippers hold up this year.

I did chuckle at this. That old turf was a bitch. Felt like sandpaper when you fell on it. Also had a nasty crown on the field that is thankfully gone now
quote:

played there 25 years ago. They probably haven’t updated the stadium since then

In the last five years they have replaced the turf, seats, scoreboard, sound system and renovated the field house and area around the stadium
2000s didn’t have someone totally dominate Could throw LSU, Texas, Florida, Oklahoma, USC, Miami into the mix. Lots of parity. No one team continually dominated.

I want to put OSU as a power since the playoffs but can’t put them on the level of Bama and Clemson

I’d count Miami as a power at least until the mid 90s. Nebraska and FSU are the most consistent start to finish in the 90s

quote:

Ah, ok. So there are no quality programs outside of Bama and Clemson. Everybody else sucks. Got it.

Never said that.

The are good programs but Bama and Clemson are the only two powers right now.

In the 90s it was Nebraska, Miami, Florida State

2000’s it was Florida, LSU, USC

2010 on; Alabama, Clemson

Willie Fritz will probably be mentioned in some coaching searches you would think

Fritz is a very solid coach. Has success everywhere he goes

Excluding Bama, doesn't that make every other program in the country even less than a "1 hit wonder"?

2010 onward.
Note to LSU: a 5 pt win isn’t domination. This was what domination looks like.

Alabama is A machine LSU was a one hit wonder

It’s funny watching people paid to post SJW nonsense coming here to defend this ridiculous situation

Wait, I’m getting paid to post here. When are my checks coming in?

I never knew chicken was paying people to post a dissenting opinion.

Missouri ranks 13th out of 14 SEC teams on kickoff returns. Quit making up excuses for why Vandy asked a girl to kick a ball 30 yards down field.

Not making excuses. Just saying the logic behind it. Mason has coached like that all year. Seems like he has been coaching trying not to get blown out as opposed to coaching to win.

The play fit in with the way he has coached all season.

He never looked like he had confidence in his team.

It was definitely a PR move. I just think the argument about “why squib down 21” isn’t a good argument. Not uncommon to see overmatched teams do that.

Mason had coached pretty conservative season so it fit him playing the safe route.
