Sunflower seeds I find as a good way to stay distracted driving on long road trips, at the ballpark,etc... Pistachios on the other hand are infuriating

Oddly enough the comments were supportive of Landry's comments regardless of how the profile pics looked. About time the good stopped shilling for the bad.
How does the OT feel about "stop and frisk" policies? Seems like it's right up Landry's alley with certain groups in certain areas

Baton Rouge to Atlanta (7 and 1/2 hours) is about my limit for a typical road trip, but could go a bit farther if it's somewhat scenic. Like we've driven to Nashville a few times mainly because of the Memphis stop (Graceland, Basspro, Central City bbq, etc...)

A perfect example of why I don’t put any credence in younger people bitching about inflation or buying a house.
Holy boomer, my mom's college tuition for a whole year was $400 but you're gonna deny inflation exists
Went see it with the wife, we both loved it from start to finish
Funny thing is when I told her we were going she watched a trailer on her phone and ended up watching the first trailer which has no mention of Rocky so she had no idea it had an alien in it haha she thought it was a horror movie when Rocky first showed up

Today's the last day of the basspro reel/rod trade-in if you're near one and might want something in stock

I’ve said it before but the huge pond off Ben Hur where that apartment complex that used to be called the Cottages was absolutely awesome for bass and sac a lait when I lived there from 2012-2014.
Is it not worth trying anymore?

Azalea Lake. Park on Lake Iris at the lot.
so just fish around that parking lot since all the land around the lake is private? Anyone try fishing the pond along jefferson that's also part of the Azalea lake subdivision? I guess local residents just walk to it?
re: Dual Threat Bass Fishing Tournament Scam

I think it was $5k per tournament with 6 tournaments on the schedule. Idk how working class guys can afford that even if it wasn't a scam tournament trail but those fees seem to be the norm.

Just about every youtube fisherman has posted about it. Seems like the POS scammer tried to get everyone with a smartphone/camera to fish it, most of whom he offered free entry fees to if they had a decent following.
I never saw figures on how many guys paid the $30k entry fees upfront but supposedly it was a dozen or so at the least.

Wife got me a nice Chene jacket for christmas i was excited for but I was worried I wouldn't be able to wear it til 2027 at this rate
No wonder our jackets last 10+ years on average when they're being worn 5 days a year

My biggest bass all the way thru college were caught on the blue pack white H&H.
My friend and I laugh all the time about how we stopped throwing the one bait that caught some of the biggest fish we've ever seen come out of their lake. Funny how that's always the case with us fisherman

7ft medium heavy on 17-20lb fluro
I use the cheap booyah Bama rig or the more expensive Hog Farmer flex mini one
I grab 1/8oz ball jig heads from basspro with 2-3/0 hooks and string them them simple smaller paddle tail baits like the swimming fluke Jr
Some throw heavier jig heads on the bottom wires to have It stay deep and run straight and some people throw a more obnoxious swim bait on the middle, farthest back one
Anywhere bait is schooling is where you need to throw it

what is leading these folks to believe that they own the water in front of their house and around the dock?
As dumb as their logic seems to us some idiot Louisiana politicians sided with these kind of people. Now you gotta be worried about getting trespassed off "public" waterways in South Louisiana.
I think people just can't comprehend that if they're floating they're not on your actual property. Same as flying drones, but idk if that has similar laws as waterways tbh.

Happy ending tho, the woman was arrested afterwards and had charges pressed against her in Virginia.

I was finding mouse droppings around my boat trailer, got an electronic rodent repeller off Amazon and haven't seen a dropping since. I thought I was wasting my money but it seems to work, I just throw it under the cover and plug it into the receptacle with the battery charger.
