I once owned a section 8 apartment complex. Would look in cabinets and refrigerators when I went to make repairs. Full of sodas, candy and chips. All those suggestions are good. Read D-Day by Steven Ambrose. Best book ever written about that one day that changed the world. American cemetery is a must, Point Du Hoc and its history is explained in that book. The docks at Aromanches was critical. Probably misspelled that. The Canadian Memorial was eye opening and very well done. Go to as many museums as you can. I did not take a formal tour and spent 4 days exploring. Want to go back and spend at least a week. Do a guided tour one day then explore on your own if you habe time.

She got an individual policy, in Arkansas her kids were covered by ARkids First, for $32 a month with $1000 deductible. I paid half, so she had health insurance for $16 a month. The ACA killed that and she hasn't had health insurance since then.

If you were a builder, lets say 100 units of apartments. You have to charge enough rent to cover our note plus profit or you don't build right? So you build get full occupancy and the state of NY freezes your rent. Then taxes and insurance rise, which they always do, but your rent income is frozen. So you start losing money every month. Can't pay you bank back, bank foreclose, government takes over, taxpayers pay the note, a slum develops, crime flourishes, and it's eventually vacant. As a builder you go to another state. So the housing situation gets even worse. That my friend is the true story from one who has had rental property since 1978, including a 52 unit SEC 8 complex.
