re: Jets D-Line coach Andre Carter set to take same role at LSU—Feldman reporting
Posted by Fleabag53 on 1/28/21 at 5:19 pm
I am not complaining about the selection of Coach Carter, but I really wished LSU would have hired Randall Joyner. He is a future star within the coaching ranks (excellent communicator, motivator and recruiter) and will be a DC within 3 to 5 years.
re: Draft-Eligible Tigers Returning
Posted by Fleabag53 on 1/4/21 at 10:26 am
This one is troubling. I don't understand how a player who only started 5 games on an offensive line that wasn't very good, remotely thinks he is ready for the NFL. Please have someone within his inner circle give this young man the truth about how this will impact his future. Coming back for another year will give him the opportunity to improve his draft grade tremendously (from very late to undrafted FA in 2021 to potential 1st round or at least 2nd round in 2022). We are talking about millions of dollars that could be lost for Dare, if he declares for the draft this year.
re: What current LSU JR and SR players come back next season?
Posted by Fleabag53 on 12/16/20 at 5:19 pm
All should come back for next season to improve their draft stock. Only one that should consider leaving is Cox (potential mid round pick), but he would dramatically improve his stock to a potential 1st round pick in 2022. Others, like Deculus, Ingram, McMath, Shanahan, Hines, and Anthony would improve from very late round to not being drafted in 2021 to mid round draft picks in 2022.
re: Who takes Number 7 next year?????
Posted by Fleabag53 on 12/15/20 at 4:08 pm
Stingley is the best player on the LSU roster in 2020 and will be again in 2021. Top 5 pick in the the 2022 NFL draft. If he wants to wear #7 then it's him, otherwise I don't see anyone else unless Cox returns. I am a little disappointed that I cannot bring John Emery into this conversation, because I would have thought he would be at that level (5 star recruit) going into his 3rd year at LSU. Didn't work out that way for him. Hopefully, he as well as other high level recruits come back strong so that LSU can rise back up and win another National Championship!

Wildcat. That's a good one.
re: This board is going to crap their khaki shorts when Finley struggles this weekend

Wow, it's amazing that you have a so called LSU fan like yourself wanting an LSU QB to not play well. If you just watch his post game comments and the comments from his family before the game, how can you not root for his success. TJ and his family are all about wanting the best for LSU. We should all feel that way, whether it's Myles, TJ or Max out on the field, because I know all of those young men will try their best to get a win for the fighting Tigers. Something is really wrong with you. Get some help!
re: Trey Palmer will be huge for us
Posted by Fleabag53 on 2/12/19 at 12:30 pm
LSU must get Trey Palmer on the field, hopefully as the slot receiver, along with Chase and Marshall. This kid reminds me so much of Marquise Brown from Oklahoma. Has the ability to take the top off the defense, which LSU is missing greatly. Palmer should definitely play before Dillon, because Dillon hasn't shown the ability to run by defenders when faced with press coverage. LSU is in dire need of a speed WR that scares the defense and that's what Palmer brings to the team.
re: Do we have a home run threat in football?
Posted by Fleabag53 on 1/15/19 at 7:03 pm
Yes, Tre Palmer! Reminds me so much of Oklahoma's WR, Marquise Brown.
re: 2019 Depth Chart.............Ed Ingram added back.
Posted by Fleabag53 on 1/14/19 at 4:22 pm
Tre Palmer will start at the slot. You cannot teach speed and he has the ability to quickly separate from defenders. Stingley, Emery, Davis and Palmer will be major contributors in 2019. Barring injury, Stingley and Palmer will have the biggest impact in 2019 out of the freshman class.
re: Top NFL Mock draft when googled; CBS has Devin going #28
Posted by Fleabag53 on 1/9/19 at 4:25 pm
Devin White should declare for the draft this year, because next year's class will be loaded with top notch Quarterbacks and WRs. He will be the top LB in the 2020 draft, similar to this year, but could be selected at a lower position in 2020.
re: Expectations for Trey Palmer?
Posted by Fleabag53 on 1/3/19 at 5:23 pm
100% Agree with you on that one. This kid has all the tools to be great, explosive speed at the position with the ability to quickly separate from defenders. Burrow is going to love having him on the field. Nothing against Dillon, but with all his speed, he has shown that he cannot get open when faced with press man to man coverage. LSU coaches and fans will love this kid!
LSU Strength and Conditioning Program Must Improve
Posted by Fleabag53 on 11/4/18 at 11:29 am
I think most folks are ignoring the obvious when it comes to the biggest difference between LSU and Alabama OL & DL. From what I see it's not about recruitment of 4 vs 5 star lineman, what I think the biggest gap is our Strength and Conditioning Program. Alabama doesn't have an advantage from a size standpoint (eight and weight), the difference is their physical power (strength and quickness). Upperclassmen on LSU team have no excuses for being over powered by opposing players of the same physical size. How can 3 to 4 star players who have been in a high level/elite football university strength and conditioning program get physically manhandled? It's all about weight room my fellow LSU fans. When are we going to address the real issue that's facing his program?
re: Travez Moore lack of snaps against Florida
Posted by Fleabag53 on 10/12/18 at 8:38 am
I definitely hope this is not the case, but if LSU doesn't improve in this area, Fromm will have a field day and this game could get ugly very fast for LSU. We need more speed rushers on the outside, because the Bulldogs OL strength is size and power. Hopefully, Moore and maybe some exotic blitz packages will enable LSU to put enormous pressure on Fromm and rattle him on Saturday.
re: Defense not as stout as LSU fans thought, Burrow is better than we thought
Posted by Fleabag53 on 10/8/18 at 6:40 pm
You know I was just speaking to my friends yesterday, asking them about LSU strength and conditioning program. The offensive and defensive lines starts off strong in every game and then as the game goes on, they seem to lose steam. Start showing signs of fatigue and then the opponent starts to dominate. Coach O said they were trying to figure out why they are losing leads in the 2nd half. That's your answer. Need an off season that's focused strength and conditioning that can dominate for 4 quarters in the SEC.
re: Jontre Kirklin to WR
Posted by Fleabag53 on 10/8/18 at 6:33 pm
Please put Jacoby Stevens on the field. We can use his size and speed to our advantage. He should be playing the monster safety position, close to the line of scrimmage. Help support the run or blitz in passing situations.
Where is Jacoby Stevens?
Posted by Fleabag53 on 10/8/18 at 4:26 pm
I would love to see this kid on the field. You would think that they could use his size and speed on blitz packages to help the pass rush. He is to athletic to be riding the bench all game long.

No matter how you slice this pie, the bottom line is you have so called true LSU fans (who would expect stay even if it's a blowout to cheer the younger/backups when they enter the game). Leaving the stadium with a 17 point halftime lead is not a good look for LSU football.
