I don’t care about paying the attorney. I just mostly don’t want to deal with it anymore and I know if an attorney goes after it I’ll end up getting my $200 back plus some. I just hate to go that route.
She’s already told me she isn’t available before or after my work hours via email when we first set up the claim but she refuses to email now, she only calls. When I’m not available.
I know it’s not a lot of money and probably child’s play for most attorneys but that’s $200 of my money that I had to spend that they owe me. I’m ready to get everything settled and move on but they’re making it difficult.
I was recently involved in a car accident where the person behind me ran into the back of me. He was in a big pickup truck and I was in a small car.

I was very sore for two weeks afterward and I still have some slight discomfort in my back and neck. I went to the doctor a couple days after the accident when I started feeling bad and they said it was a neck and back sprain (basically whiplash). Told me to go back if it didn't get better in 5 days.

It didn't get better so I went back for a more thorough examination and they still said it was all muscular and nothing to worry about. That gave me peace of mind to know it wasn't anything serious.

Well now I've accrued upwards of $200 worth of doctor bills that I've paid out of pocket and missed a couple days of work. I've sent the medical claims adjuster copies of my receipts and medical records and gave her the time of day I'm available to talk (my lunch hour).

She has tried calling me three times so far and each time was HOURS outside of the window I told her I'd be available. I understand I can't realistically expect her schedule to mesh with mine but dammit I can't be expected to step out of the office to take her call at odd hours of the day. Especially when my employer doesn't allow personal phone calls except in the rare instance it's a real emergency.

I want my money back. Should I just hand it over to an attorney? I'm sure an attorney would get her attention and would settle this probably with one phone call. I hate to go that route but at this point I'd feel like I would be paying an attorney to basically get it taken care of for me so I don't have to deal with it.

What's y'all's opinion?
Because they want to reach out to you and try to sell you a home. You want info? You're gonna have to become a prospect.
I’m out of town for business and was on the phone with my wife while she was going to work about 10 minutes ago and she swears she saw a small plane fly very low on its side then disappear behind some trees. This was around Airline highway near Walmart/Rouses. She saw no smoke but she swears she saw what she saw.

Is she hallucinating or did that happen? Anyone in that area right now?

What's so sad about that is that it's an actual promotional video from Gordon. How does he expect to get any respect from the public with ads like that?

Car wreck question - injury related

I was rear ended 10 days ago at a red light. Other guy was driving a truck and I was in my son’s car and there’s not too much damage but I’m actually hurting in my back and neck now. I didn’t go to the hospital because I wasn’t hurt at the time but around day 4 I was really beginning to feel pain in my back and neck. No numbness or tingling - just hurting. Should I still be this sore? Guy was probably only going about 20-25mph when he hit me.

How does this work? Do I just go to the doctor and tell them what’s going on? I don’t want to be one of those people who claim everything under the sun after wrecks but I really don’t want to be responsible for the medical bills if I go get checked out and there’s something wrong. Im also worried that once I open that can of worms with the insurance company they’re gonna be assholes and make me get an attorney. I don’t want to go down that road.

How do I go about this with the insurance company? How do I walk this fine line?

I've stolen bigger truck nutz from bigger douches than you in the quad for two fiddy.
Write the rest of this joke for the OT. It has something for every poster here apparently.
I knew a man who beat the shite out of his wife with a baseball bat. He's at Angola now.

The porch at the multi-million dollar mansion next door had a much bigger, prettier, more enticing package wrapped in gold with a sign on it that read, "Definitely NOT the most expensive gift ever" but he still went for the smaller, unknown, less proven packages.
