112 MW is not a lot to replace. Entergy will have the capacity to mitigate if they needed to. They would just redirect power from other assets/substations from the grid.

I would anssume engineering systems and structures would have weather safety factors in the design for imminent forces/weather.

This technique is somewhat popular in the Caribbean islands for power production. They’re built on barges to allow the owner/operator to disconnect and transfer to another location for a more profitable opportunity. Probably not a bad idea with how volatile and political Louisiana economy can be.

Black start is an independent startup system that’s contained by the plant. Could be a generator, but these barges have trended towards using energy storage (big arse batteries to go) for this application.

Median gross household income in Singapore in 2023 tracks just below $90,000 per capita. Plus their laws were set up with public education in mind first. It's also not a welfare state. Indirectly by law you have to pull your own weight. Can you imagine...

US still has top performers and opportunity for those who want it above any other country on the planet.

On May 2, 2008, LSU head coach Les Miles kicked Perrilloux off the team for "not fulfilling his obligation" as an LSU student-athlete. He is reported to have a failed a drug test due to marijuana, missed a team meeting, skipped classes and was late for a handful of conditioning workouts.

This is just how most people feel when in unfamiliar places. Med center is interesting as well because there’s a mix of public and private hospitals. Plus the city has no zoning no laws on private property.
