I only have experience with mountian bikes, but all of the direct to consumer companies, like bikesdirect (and high end brands like Canyon,YT, airborne), are basically ready to ride when you get them.

:Lol: Front derailleurs are miserable, luckily 1x came along and I don't have to deal with it anymore. I do all of my maintenance, except for bleeding my brakes. I even have the kit and fluid for doing it, but it's such a pain in the arse that I pay someone else to do it.

Yep, I ride a Diamondback Sync'r with a nice DT Swiss wheelset on it, about $1400 for the bike and another $500 for the wheels, and I still hate taking it to shops because of the Dicks/Academy stigma.


I still don't understand how the guy that maybe makes $15 an hour doing tuneups can afford a $6k carbon fiber bike. I'm guessing they finance them.
