I think you’re right, just went and had a quick search through winsipedia and it looks like this is the case.

The Vandy schedule sticks out more than Georgia, Tennessee or Auburn cause there was no SECCG muddying the waters for Vandy.

Thanks!
Yeh it’s pretty good! Lots of good stuff to see, some of them are quite amazing.
Was curious if any of you with more knowledge than me could shed some light on a weird anomaly I seem to have come across re LSU Vandy games.

The last 14 LSU Vandy games dating back to 1976 have all been in back to back years. ie 1976/77, 1984/85, 1990/91, etc all the way up to 2019/20.

Could just be a total coincidence. But thought I’d ask if anyone knows why, as I thought it was very weird

College sports never get covered down here, not even CFP. So for WBB to be covered down here, man it’s a big story.

FWIW a fairly balanced article in my opinion

Yeh count me in for getting them at over 6.5! Odds were $1.87, don’t know how that compares though
Well doesn’t look like you need anything from me, you’re almost a local! Fortune of War is a great pub and hope you enjoy your latest trip down here. Certainly sounds like you will.
I’m not really a poster but I am a lurker haha, welcome to Sydney my man!

If you need any hints or tips let me know and I’ll see if I can help you out, and Geaux Tigers!
Fire up your grill so the grill is nice and hot, cut an onion in half and use a grill fork or something similar to rub the cut half of the onion all over the grill similar to how you would use a wire brush, works an absolute treat!
Every frickin week I see on here in the off-season is the old Auburn to the east and Missouri to the west thread.

Frick me! Every day almost....

g’day mate, are you a fair dinkum? Welcome to the rant. How did you become a tiger fan?

Yep I’m fair dinkum, had a guy come out to Aus for work. He was from Houston and was a tiger fan, so got me into it.
Hmm, yeh ok. So an unintended consequence of introducing a playoff...

I think I’d like to see an 8 team CFP, but then you’ve got the usual arguments about scheduling, length of season, injuries, demeaning the bowl games etc etc

The CFP will extend runs and make the more dominant teams stronger

See that’s the feeling I get as well. I feel without the CFP it was more even, whereas now it looks like teams will go on dominant runs a lot more often.

Good for equity in College Football? Probably not. Good for NCAA and Conference coffers? Yes.
If Clemson had of won 2 of 3 Orange Bowls back in the day, would they have been smashing the recruiting trail as much as they are now having won 2 of 3 CFB playoffs?

I seem to think they wouldn’t be
To be honest I’m relatively new to college football. Followed NFL since 2010, and started following College Football since 2015, but I’ve been pretty much “all in” since 2015, following everything imaginable in relation to college football.

Taking into account my relative new exposure to college football, it seems like now recruits are flocking to CFB playoff dominant teams, whereas perhaps in the past with no CFB playoff, recruiting was more evenly spread?

Case in point Bama dominating recruiting for last 6-7 yrs or whatever, and now Clemson is absolutely towelling up recruiting cause they appear like they’re going on a dominant run. I don’t think this would happen in the past with no CFB playoff and just the regular NY6 bowls, not withstanding the BCS era which seemed to be quite evenly spread amongst teams.

Just my opinion, keep in mind coming from a view of only the last 4-5 years knowledge.

I guess I want to know, did teams dominate recruiting like this when there was no CFB Playoff? Or was it more evenly spread around the P5 conferences?

A few good men is ‘similar’. Saw how the OP got there...

Always have! Had a guy come down here for work. He grew up in Houston and went to LSU, we became great mates and I just started following LSU because of him.

Now I frickin love my tigers and follow them religiously.

It’s on the bucket list to get to BR one day and see a night game in TS. Would be epic!

One day...
Agreed la_birdman.

We SHOULD beat Texas, Florida & A&M with the talent we have and we got Florida & A&M in TS which is a massive bonus but, I just see some sort of bone headed play calling or coaching meltdown in one of those games that gives us a L.

Hopefully I’m wrong and we go 11-1. Can’t wait to frickin find out
