They went to Columbia when we played South Carolina in September. Would be cool to get them on our campus again.

Chances to Host Game Day?

Posted by nwallb2 on 10/19/24 at 8:33 am
We haven’t hosted since Florida 2019 based off my research this morning. Do you think we have a shot when Alabama comes to town?
I think our offense is finally gonna hit its groove but we will be playing in a super hostile environment
Im high on all those guys too and I think one can emerge and be good but we can’t go into 2025 without one known stud. Bring in a one year rental stud while those other guys emerge. Especially if Nuss comes back, we should be able to lure a top dude in the portal.

One caveat is if a young guy emerges between now and season’s end. Even if it’s Green at hybrid receiver. Need one more proven guy going into next season.
It would be a miracle if we beat A&M on the road at night. Hope for a early kick there.
We’d have theoretically Hilton (?), Thomas, Anderson, Parker as projected starters but that’s not really good enough in my opinion.
Losing Lacy and Daniels. Really need a portal guy or two if we can’t land one elite talent out of highschool. We’d need one of Sampson, Billiot, Watkins, or one of true freshmen to step up.

I did read on an Arkansas website that they may set an attendance record this weekend. This may be our toughest road game of the year. Still think we can win, especially if Taylen Green is out or hobbled. If he is healthy then I would say it’s a coin flip lean Arky.
Should we bring in a blocking tight end from portal? Seems like the run game could really use that element.

Dude is 19-20 years old. Not every kid comes in mature enough to contribute within his first year or two. He’s very talented but until he gets it together upstairs then none of that matters.
Dude should milk these schools for every dollar they’ll give him and his family. Just how the recruiting game works when you’re a 5 star at DL. Give them all hope they can land your signature so they keep shelling out the cash.

Sampson is a bust. Lets move on everyone.

A family member of mine has suffered from vertigo for years. I think it was a few months before she was referred to a neurologist. Every circumstance is different. Maybe his vertigo was much more severe and should have set off more alarm bells for the athletic trainers. But 39 days before seeing a specialist is pretty common in America.
Some of our fans have gone soft. I will differ on one thing. If Ole Miss wins at the end in a tight game, I can live with it. Would hate it but understand because their roster is better than ours. Losing in a non close fashion is unacceptable at night in Tiger Stadium with the talent on offense we have on this team.

No they just wont support him as much in the NIL sphere. A lot of the old heads still view Ole Miss as our primary rival.

Continued alignment is not a guarantee if certain folks lose faith in the coach. Beat Ole Miss.

Beat OM Whatever It Takes

Hate to use hyperbole except when it’s appropriate. This is close to must win for Brian Kelly. Losing to Ole Miss last year rubbed some LSU folks the wrong way and to lose two years in a row would be unacceptable. We have them at home at night off a bye and this is their third straight SEC game. Hard to justify a loss here barring some catastrophic injury during the game.
His daddy is accusing LSU’s training staff of mismanaging his injury. My guess is he does transfer.
This is a tenure defining game for Kelly at LSU. Lose this game and we are looking at maybe 7-8 wins and a Music City bowl. Win this game and we enter the road stretch with momentum for the playoff hunt.
