re: Interior O line draft

Posted by Taylor31 on 4/5/26 at 11:28 am to
I have been told that the Saints are disappointed in Fuaga at right tackle. Of course, we as fans are not sure what Loomis, and Moore are thinking. We don't know if Simpkin's is ready to take over Ruiz's spot. We are just guessing on what and who they will pick. If the Saints are not happy with Fuaga, and we all know Ruiz seems to me to be the weakest player on the team. It will be hard to pass up Bain at eight, but my pick would be to trade down and pick the best offensive tackle, or Vega Ioane the guard from Penn St. Maybe they move Fuaga to guard, and draft a tackle. It seems like this is very good draft. We need two offensive linemen, one receiver, and defense with all other picks. Overall out look is bright if the Saints hit a homerun in this draft. Build with youth, and let Jordan, and Hill walk. I would keep Kamara draft two bad arse offensive linemen and run the ball. We have a QB that protects the ball, and knowns how to move the sticks. The Saints with an improved defense can win a lot of games this way.

I agree, if Skyles or Love is there at eight then you make that pick. If not, and you find a team willing to trade up, and you believe Vega will still be available. I'd would make the trade. Picking up a third, or a fourth rounder is damn good value to move down three spots. I don't trust the body type of the Miami edge rusher. Everyone knows that the d-tackle may be more valuable in todays game because QB's are getting rid of the ball ASAP. Tackles are closer to the QB than the edge. This makes Vega the pick for me. #51 for the Saints is the weakest player on the team. He needs to be replaced.
I guess I must spell it out for some fans. Trade down three spots if you find a team that wants the 8th pick that they are willing to trade their 11th pick, and a late rounder to move up. I don't believe the Saints want LSU's cornerback at 8th. Vega will be a star for many years.

Trade down three picks in round one.

Pick up another draft pick, and select the Penn. St. guard and the line is set for years. Draft one receiver, and all defensive players with remaining picks. There's no guess work with the Penn. St. guard. Plug in star from day one.

My source says

D. Davis not coming back. Saints going after top edge in free agency. First pick will be Styles if available, but defense will be the pick even if Love is on the board.

Please, trade Zion Williamson

How many times do we have to sit and watch this player make turnovers over and over at crunch time? The Pelicans play better as a team without him on the floor. Trade Williamson, and never look back. Get whatever you can.

Thank goodness.

There's absolutely nothing worse than your team being led by a losing QB. You know what I mean. A QB with slow feet, a QB that tries to thread a pass rather than run with an open field ahead of him. A QB with bad body language. You get the picture. Well boys, third down and twelve yards are not problem with Tyler Shough. I've been holding off wanting to see more of him, but boys our QB after today looks like a winner. The kid throws darts, the kid puts air under the ball on long throws, the kid knows how to by time, the kid knows when to take off and move the sticks, the kid is cool. Now, all the Saints need to do is draft several offensive linemen hoping that three can play in this league. Try and find two athletic defensive ends that can break down and tackle a running QB on third and long. Of course we like Granderson, and Cam, but these two need help. We finally have our QB.

Draft

Four offensive lineman, two athletic undersize edges, and one big receiver.
Anyone off the streets can catch a ball, and anyone can run the ball with holes.
I agree with this pick. The Saints are disappointed with Fauga, and want to replace him. Not a bust, but close to it. Unbelievable !!!!

The o-line.....

Posted by Taylor31 on 11/23/25 at 7:49 pm
Insider tells me that the Saints o-line is soft. Disappointed in 75 which hurts real bad. The Saints need to clean house, and fix the o-line first with the draft. Two to three more years before we smell a playoff game.
I believe I posted three years ago, that I wish LSU would not pay any player a dime. If they did that LSU would be the nations favorite team. I don't give a S--- if we would lose five games a year. Anything is better than this s--- show. Or, I could compromise. Every player no matter how far down the bench you are makes the same money. Lace's up and play the game.
The most accomplished professional player from LSU is Mr. Bob Petit. Bob Petit was the most dominate player in the NBA for many years. He played just before Chamberlain came into the league. I take that back, their careers overlapped by two or three years. Check his stats and I believe you will agree. Shaq is a very close second.

The most decorated at LSU is first team ALL American, and first team academic Nacho Albergamo.

Make the change. Time for #6 to see if he can move the chains.

At half the network showed Nuss

being hit and tackled several times. If you watched closely Nuss has his ankle twisted outward on a sack. He was lucky that he didn't break his ankle, or dislocated. He played hurt, and gutted it out. Just for your information.
At half they showed Nuss getting sacked, and if you watched closely his ankle was bent outward. He was lucky it wasn't broken. He's hurt guys. He played on a badly sprained ankle.

Nuss did not play well, BUT

The receivers were not open most of the time, and double covered because of only three down lineman. When you can't run the ball, and you're getting pressure using three lineman, you're in for a long day.
Play him at running back. He's the best RB on the team.
