We have to do whatever it takes next year to land the big 3 in our state Guillory, Roy and Cam Jackson. The big fight is going to be for McKinnley Jackson between LSU and Bama but we have to win that battle. Jackson could step in and start immediately as a freshman. He’s an absolute freak.
Yeah, we need those guys...already have two of them committed, but I think Cam will be an OT. Roy looks like a world-beater...should be very highly rated at this time next year...should be. And Guillory looks like the ideal NT for us.
Not sure about McKinnely, but it wouldn't surprise me to see his recruitment play out similarly to Pickering's in this cycle.
I think Branard Wright out of TX is the other major DE prospect we're looking to land.
re: Does Quashon Fuller possibly flipping to Bama help us on Byron Young and Ish?

This is true...I haven't been one of the ones included WDE or NT's. Still, bama is taking an unusual number of SDE's in this class, especially consider their existing depth at the position and also the caliber of player we're talking about here.

Honestly if there had to be a year when Bama was thin on the DL and was taking all the players I’d prefer it be this year versus next. Still though it would be nice to at least get Ish. Thank the lord we got Ika.
I guess I agree, but bama really wasn't that thin at all on the DL...LSU is significantly thinner. Just saying...them taking all these DL is just as much about ensuring that schools like us don't get any of them as it is them shoring up their line.

They have 24 and can take 4-7 more?
Yes, although the exact number is fuzzy...I've seen anywhere from 28-31. They undersigned in 2018, and a couple of their current signees are predicted to accept grey shirts.
Same old, same old.

Bama is dangerously thin at DL, that is why they are taking so many this year.
Bama has missed badly at DL the last few years.
That you, Nick Saban?
Holy, falsity!
A quick, and I mean quick, look at 247 shows this to be absolutely absurd...I'm sure this is exactly what saban and the bama coaches have been preaching to recruits, though, and it appears to have worked.

Well don't look at the 24/7 2020 recruit list then.
He is the lead recruiter for the 4-star OT commit from Cedar Hill Texas. And LSU has two 4-star DT's that are committed.
I know what you're saying, and I agree with the premise. However, I think what he is saying is that Meatball hasn't done well on the DL in either of the last couple of cycles. And this is certainly true.
Hopefully the current status of the 2020 class is a sign of this changing.

When Saban retires and people who have left the program are free to reveal how Bama recruits go public, I wonder how many titles Bama will have to vacate?
All things considered, part of me thinks of bama's success as a sham...there is no helping this. There has just been too much smoke for too long...they're crooked.

Somebody getting processed at Bama.
There's really nobody to process after the early signing period. They have 24 signatures and can take 4-7 more.

It appears Bama can take infinity this year.
I've quit worrying about their numbers. It's ludicrous.
Honestly, they might be able to "take" something like 31 because it's possible that Paul Tyson and Will Reichard are grayshirting.

Yeah, will suck for 2020's DE depth...could even suck for our starting line in 2020 if one or both of Logan/Farrell bolt after next season.
Are we sure bama can't take 29 this year? I've heard others mention this...not sure how to get a definitive answer, but it appears it will matter very much for us.
Garmon Randolph has gotten a couple of CB's to Baylor today, but the way...this could signify that LSU has told him that they won't have a spot for him, which could mean we've gotten some good news.

The only way I see them missing on either is if Fuller picks bama and saban takes his signature.

Not a ton of depth, but there are 4, not 3.
Did we land Ish?
I'm saying we have (3) current DE's in the last 2 classes. If we get Ish, that'll be great, of course.

A Miss State insider changed his CB pick to a "?" earlier today...not sure what his pick was before that.
I would take Moore.
I would take Moore.
