I inherited a 16 gauge several years ago from my grandfather that hadn’t been fired in probably 50 years. I sent it over to my local gunsmith to give it a once over because I just didn’t want to risk anything on a really nice shotgun. The gunsmith did a good job of explaining what he was doing like...

Spaghetti. I bought canned San Marzanos for the first time this afternoon and used them. Game changer. ...
$600ish. Should’ve told Elaine’s dad to get bent and walked with the jacket inside out. ...
I agree. I readily share any recipe anyone asks me for. I don’t see any sense in keeping something that people like a secret. One of my oldest friends, his grandmother made the best meatballs I’ve ever eaten. She was the first generation of their family to be born in America, and came from Italy. I...

My wife has ordered a few “hello fresh” boxes because she wanted to learn how to cook to a degree(she doesn’t really listen to me, she has to go “by the book”). We had “French Onion Soup grilled cheeses” tonight and they were top shelf. ...

Great shots, cotton! 4-5 years ago, we had a bald eagle nest about 2-3 miles north of our house on a pretty rural road. Me and my little girl would ride up there on Saturday and Sunday afternoons and just pull off on the side of the road and watch for 30 minutes or so. Cool creatures. ...
Fish whisperer
That’s what we call my buddy’s dad. He can slip off down the bank a little ways and come back with a bucket/stringer full, while me and my buddy might catch 4-5 combined. But maybe we just aren’t very good fishermen ...

If you’re in town long enough to grab lunch the next day, go and get a burger and onion rings at Handy Andy. Nothing special, just a simple burger that they do well...

We ate dinner over at my parents house the other night and I happened to find their old “Ralph and Kacoo’s” cookbook from the mid 80’s. There were a lot of old, good, nostalgic recipes in there, but I’m not sure how easy it is to come across one. My dad uses their recipe to make shrimp etouffee,...

Worked as a line cook in college. The hours weren’t great, but everything else about it was awesome. ...
Never really thought about it. Probably about 6, I’d guess. My old roommate from college comes over from Vicksburg when I boil crawfish (he returns the favor at his house) and that 5’7 150 lb man will eat however many pounds I put in front of him. 4 or 14 lbs. he will eat all of them ...

Line cook at a restaurant when I was in college. No drugs on the clock but there were plenty to be had after hours. We’d also shotgun red bulls. Pretty PG, but it was a good “pick me up”. ...
