I've never bought tickets for a show there, will be interested to see how going through Paypal is going to work with a popular show
I saw that teaser post from Red Dragon and after clicking to see "All Comments" Red Dragon confirmed he is coming back. Ticket information available after the weekend

it's a bit more complicated and all over the place but he's always entertaining

I thought he was entertaining to watch, but more due to his quips and jokes less than his music as a whole. I thought the songs that book ended his show were great and I guess I wished it was more like those two throughout. It didn't stop me from listening to his full album this morning though.

I get what you are saying about BJ. There was very little engagement with the audience during his set, which after seeing him at the Dyson Listening House a few years back certainly made me miss his storytelling about the songs.

Talking to him after the show gave me the connection to his fans that I missed a bit during his show.

Cory Branan not so much… Just didn’t do it for me.

I was expecting so much more from his set; but boy was it not good. It was awkward and really felt like he hated being on stage. I know touring without a backing band is going to change the sound (obviously) but he didn't do his albums any favors with how he translated the songs to just an acoustic guitar.

AA were great as always.

Not sure what his deal was then.

My thought was the first thing that goes as you start to tire is the mental sharpness. Happened with Ream and Jedi on the third goal. And that half second is all that the Dutch needed; or the 6 seconds Dumfries was alone in the box on the 3rd goal.

Dest is ok at rb but he’s arse on defense.

Dest was amazing this tournament outside of the knockout game.

quote:

Reyna and Aaronson should be starters. Even if that means you have to sacrifice one of the midfield trio to fit Reyna in. I know Weah is great, but Aaronson not starting for us was criminal. He’s been class this season at Leeds. That’s 3.

Weah was also amazing. I don't know if you noticed Gio not playing ANY defense in the second half of the game on Sat. Which means he cannot be relied upon to play as one of the 8s in a 433; replacing Weah or Christian are the only options if you are going to play everyone in their preferred positions. I don't necessarily disagree that Weah out wide was the best decision for this team as he has been too good for us out wide. Christian was also our best attacking player in the tournament.
Aaronson gets manhandled when he has played in teh middle for the US. You saw that against the Dutch and Iran when he came in. He cannot progress the ball the way our 8s need to and is better out wide as well.

So four players for 2 spots. Someone has to sit.

I thought she was great. I haven't seen her live before and I must admit I was surprised with how much of a rock show it was. Expected it to be a bit more mellow but definitely wasn't disappointed.

Pleasantly surprised with the opener as well.

is that the lack of Pepi opens itself up for negative recruiting by the Mexican NT for dual nationals.

The fact that Mexico brought zero duals nationals makes this concern obsolete imo.

The scam is so oblivious - why can’t it be prevented?

BC Ticketmaster is making money on both ends. Fees on the initial sale and fees on the resale. :banghead:

Anyone has a presale code other than hounds?

Looks like that was the code nation wide. I didn't get into the queue early enough it seems and missed out on NOLA tickets. Didn't realize we had a Taylor Swift level situation trying to get Childers tickets. :banghead:

It's probably a moot point b/c Jesus will get majority of minutes.

You say that but Gregg definitely said that his Pepi decision came down to Pepi or Jesus; hinting that Sargent was already on the team.

Not sure I truly believe that but we can always hope.

Aaron Long. He provides no value to this roster outside of a veteran locker room presence

Hey now, I've been told he is fast. Which helps if you are getting beat on every play after you turn the ball over.

Thanks for the heads up; just grabbed a pair of tickets.

Also saw that American Aquarium is coming back through a week later. GA tickets aren't on sale yet though.

He deserves a chance more than any other 9.

I agree and actually think him not being in this camp helps his chances to be at the WC as our system definitely didn't work again today. We will need the ability to hoof balls up to a target man at some point.

I think he has already secured a spot and the 3 strikers here are fighting for the other 2 spots. Maybe that is just wishful thinking.

Send someone home and call in Pefok for the next game.

Our strikers barely touched the ball. Outside of the Ferrara chance, there was nothing in that game that made me think Pefok would have changed anything. All 5 guys that played in the midfield were terrible today, couldn't get the ball to our wingers or strikers. Vines was potentially the best defender on the day, but thats due to the rest being garbage.
Its hard for Aaronson or Reyna to have an impact when they can't rely on a solid pass from their teammates.

I’m in the camp that he is not athletic enough to start alongside Zimmerman, who is all but a nailed on starter for Qatar. Add to that Long has the turning radius of a cruise ship. That being said he is a big presence and good in the air.

This is the current knock on Brooks (if you assume its just about form) without Brooks ability to make forward passes. As high up as we will push our FBs, I don't see how you can play both Brooks/Long and Zimmerman. Robinson's injury really screwed us as it completely tore apart our depth. Hoping Richards will be healthy enough to step in as he is our best hope with his athleticism.

I was impressed with CCV, he looked very calm on the ball which can't be said for some of our other CBs. EPB getting a knock limited what we were able to see from him. In his brief appearance he didn't shower himself in glory but wasn't a huge liability.

Was Mckenzie even playing for his club at the end of the season?

I just dont understand how people cant see that making outward political expressions a MANDATORY aspect for inclusion on a National team is frickED UP

There is a TON of fricked up shite this country does; but putting Pride numbers on the national team jerseys to signal to a marginalized portion of our population that they are valued by their National Team is definitely not one of them. As a straight white male, recognizing Pride month had legitimately zero impact on how I watched the game or enjoyed the win. And I refuse to believe that it had any impact on fans choosing to buy or not buy tickets months back when this game was announced.

Hrrm, maybe appeal to your target audience, straight men?

Of all the bad takes about why fans don't show up to matches, this might be the worst I've seen.

re: Is this a penalty?

Posted by Fratastic423 on 5/19/22 at 2:01 pm
It seems like I am in the minority as I see this as a penalty all day. Vela beats the keeper to the ball and touches it out the keeper's path. The keepers right leg is the first thing to make contact with Vela's right ankle which at speed is enough to throw Vela's gate off. Vela's leg is then caught by the keeper's arm and Vela is now on the ground. Keeper can't complain as he didn't get to the ball.
Wasn't able to make the first home game last week as I was sick. Was looking forward to this weekend to take some kids from my sons team out; only to find that they have rescheduled half of the home games from Olympia to the Lamar Dixon Expo Center in damn Gonzalez. I know things happen, especially with the Capitals now playing again and how BRSC has a strangle hold on soccer in BTR. But it definitely doesn't make it easy to go watch if I have to drive 30 mins there and back.
