re: So Wray threatened to resign to save an employee he fired a week later?

Hmmm. So this was either fake news or something so radical was revealed that it forced Wray's hand. What's the spin dems?
Or it could be the fact that McCabe now has enough accumulated paid time off to simply go on leave until his original retirement date.
I guess Wray had the balls to stand up to Trump's attempts to steal McCabe's retirement out of spite, but not enough to stop McCabe from being forced to take a long paid vacation.
re: CNN sauces: McCabe was removed; was not in the plans as of Friday

On their website, the CNN story about this says that they have some sources describing this as mutual and others describing it as forced.
I mean, since he is "stepping down" it must be mutual to some extent. He could refuse and then they'd have to fire him.
My guess is that, since he has enough accumulated leave to use vacation days between now and his original retirement date, Wray decided he wasn't going to stand up to the pressure coming from Trump and Sessions anymore, and so this is the compromise they reached.
Trump gets to feel like this was a win, even though he failed in his attempt to steal McCabe's rightfully earned retirement and even though this doesn't affect Mueller's investigation at all.

re: Down goes OU. Your LSU Tigers are about to be ranked #1.

As others have pointed out, wins and losses don't matter. I remember, last season I think, at one point LSU posted an excellent score in an away meet and still lost, but they jumped from #2 to #1 in the rankings because it raised their average away score.

It's funny how any time someone points out that the positive economic trends that Trump is taking credit for began under Obama, y'all scream bloody murder that that was only recovery from the great recession. As if the "recovery period" magically ended overnight on January 20th.
But then, whenever it's useful for you all to use an economic stat from Obama's 1st year in office, suddenly you have all forgotten about the great recession completely.

Nope.

Seeking Committee approval of public release would require HPSCI committee members to vote on a staff drafted memorandum that purports to be based on classified source materials that neither you nor most of them have seen.
If Nunes has seen the source material, he's a fricking idiot for not refuting this claim as loudly and publicly as possible.

Actually Trump and Wynn fricking hate each other and have for years since the 90s.
If Trump hated him, they wouldn't have made him RNC fundraising chair.

Nunes is the one that combed through the "classified material" over many months to assemble the cliff's notes version of it all,
:rotflmao:
He wrote the memo based on stuff he and his staff heard in briefings. He hasn't seen the classified info himself, and Trump's own DOJ Assistant AG appointee confirmed as much in his letter.

There is no evidence of that. But then, anti-vaxxers like Trump were never really interested in evidence anyway.

How difficult is it to get below 4% unemployment
According to Trump, the unemployment numbers are fake. Also according to Trump, job creation under Obama was terrible and he was going to fix it. I don't think his idea of "fixing" it was drastically slowing the rate of job creation.

The burden should be on Mueller to demonstrate the necessity of questioning the president in any form, not on the president to provide reasons for not submitting to questioning. Being president is reason enough.
That'd play better if Trump hadn't publicly said twice that he'd be happy to talk to Mueller under oath.

Does he regret appointing the Assistant Attorney General who sent a letter to Nunes calling him reckless for thinking about releasing the memo and pointing out that Nunes hasn't even seen the classified material that the memo purports to be based on?

yeah, why doesn’t Trump just come out, show everyone the irrefutable proof of the deep state secret society that exists in all levels of government that has manufactured baseless allegations against him, and fire all the responsible parties? Has it just not occurred to him yet?
It’s almost like there is not deep state conspiracy and Trump is just scared of what Mueller and the FBI are finding out about him...

Nothing big changed because Soros isn’t even that high on the list of individual political donors in the US.
Soros is an easy target for Reps to paint as a scary, horned jew because their base eats that stuff up. But he’s given far more money to promote democracy and capitalism in former soviet republics than he has to American politicians and political organizations.
Sad how they’ve got you all foaming at the mouth and fantasizing about a cruel and painful death for a man who’s done nothing to you.

How many Republicans have vowed to give all campaign funds raised by Wynn to charity?
Where is Sean Spicer to express his outrage over the Republican silence on this like he did with Dems and Weinstein (who didn’t even hold an official position with the DNC).

Ummm... anyone remember the commercial from LAST YEAR that showed the Mexican immigrant trying to illegally cross the border, but was dismayed at the sight of (what can only be interpreted as) Trump’s Wall?
That was a commercial from a lumber company who bought television air time through the network. The NFL does not have final approval over the tv ads that are sold by the network airing the super bowl.
This is literally an ad in the NFL produced paper programs that will be available to people at the game.

She hasn't broken the agreement since she signed it. She confirmed the affair in interviews she gave PRIOR to receiving the hush money. Trump is just so dumb he allowed himself to be blackmailed by someone who had ALREADY spilled the beans to InTouch in an interview back in 2011.
InTouch didn't publish it in 2011 because Trump threatened to sue and no one gave a shite about Trump then anyway, so they figured it wasn't worth the hassle of defending the story in court.
