re: What did Kelly do that could have gotten him fired for cause?
Posted by SupermanSlim on 11/12/25 at 8:07 pm to bdavids09
There was no “for cause” reason to fire him. LSU waited 2 weeks to decide he was fired “for cause”. It’s BS. He was fired because his team isn’t good.
If it goes to court he will win, but he may never get paid. His lawsuit is against the State. And the state appropriations committee would have to vote to pay him. Seems like he could actually get robbed.

re: I’m shocked Kelly’s attorney thinks his client didn’t do anything wrong and LSU owes him.

This is making LSU look dysfunctional. You fired the man without cause and started negotiating the buyout.
Then 14 days later you said, no we didn’t fire you. Now we are firing you with cause.
Because to fire him with cause you had to notify him within 7 days of the termination. LSU didn’t do that. So now they just claim that they never fired him until now.
It’s nasty politics and it will be a huge red flag when recruiting coaches in the future

Whoever believes that Scott Woodard is solely responsible for BK coming to LSU is insane. The boosters wanted him. The alumni wanted him. Woodard got the deal done. Unfortunately in 4 1/2 years it hasn’t worked as well as everyone hoped.
If BK would have won 2 national championships, other people wouldn’t have amnesia about wanting him to come here

LSU is trying to commit fraud and get away with robbery. The state won’t pay damages unless the congress appropriates the funds.
I can’t imagine Kim Mulkey and Jay Johnson are happy to see this.

Honestly he should be paid. LSU has an obligation to honor the contract. What they are doing is unprecedented and amounts to pure theft

He’s not coming work for the governor

First thing you have to do is actually pay the buyout. Trying to avoid paying him hurts LSU’s reputation and will be a huge red flag to perspective coaches.
How about, don’t fire your atheletic director who brought 2 championship winning coaches to the school in the middle of football season.
It’s really not hard to stop acting dysfunctional. Start with keeping politicians out of it

Coach O lost his mind after he got successful and tried to play hide the boudin with everyone’s wife. He lost focus. Lost the team. He was paid his entire buyout. Then is ex-wife took half.
The appearance of dysfunction at LSU will hurt us

This is ridicilious and will be used against us is every way.
The athletic director fired the coach and the offensive coordinator.
The Governor used his power to force LSU to fire the Athletic Director because it’s fault we had that coach. (Like the boosters weren’t trying to get Kelly! The AD just got the job done
Now LSU says. “We didn’t fire you.” The athletic director who fired you didn’t have authority to fire you”. (Only the governor can fire you). But you cleaned out your office and didn’t show up to practice. So you abandoned us. So
Now we gonna fire you with cause. It’s a pretty obvious attempt to not pay the man what you legally owe him
Now imagine trying to recruit a top coach to come to LSU and deal with this.
Imagine trying to recruit players. Imagine trying to keep your current roster from jumping into the transfer

She can make millions coaching anywhere else as well. Sometimes people are genuine and dislike when unfair things are done to their friends.
re: I do not expect Scott Woodward to remain the AD following Rousses hiring
Posted by SupermanSlim on 10/28/25 at 8:54 pm to Phillytiger9
Woodward brought a women’s basketball coach who had already won. National titles to LSU where she won one with the purple and gold in her second season.
He brought in a baseball coach who won a national championship in his second season and won another this past year.
The Kelly hire didn’t work out but he was a proven coach and many people were suprised that LSU was able to get him. It wasn’t like proven coaches were kicking down the door to get the job.

If they can figure out how to deal with traffic after the game, most people who leave early would stay for the end.
re: kyren lacy‘s attorney doesn’t seem to be very good
Posted by SupermanSlim on 10/5/25 at 10:49 am to Tshirts
Let’s look at the big picture. Lacy didn’t directly cause the accident, but his actions did cause the chain of events that led to it. Saying he was “behind the accident” when two vehicles hit head on is misleading a little. It also doesn’t say how fast lacy was driving when he passed the 4 vehicles. Even though he was 75 yards from the accident, it’s probably only about 2 seconds away if both vehicles are traveling 55 mph..
Now that doesn’t mean he was the most guilty party here. He committed a traffic violation. The gold truck braked and veered right out of caution. The car behind the truck was following too close and traveling faster than the truck. She made a horrible decision to turn into oncoming traffic! She was following at an unsafe distance at an unsafe speed which prevented her from stopping in time. Instead of rear-ending the truck, she caused a head on collision that killed a guy.

re: People involved in the Kyren Lacy investigation need to go to jail
Posted by SupermanSlim on 10/3/25 at 8:33 pm to L5ut1g3r
Why did they arrest him and charge him if the surveillance video showed he was far enough away from the accident that his actions probably didn’t cause it. It was caused by an overreaction by a driver who was driving too close and probably too fast. Why did they charge him with homicide without all the evidence? Or if they had the evidence, why did they ignore it??? Why did they ignore actual witness testimony and tell them what to testify to??
What the actual frick happened here???
If this investigation was done ethically, Kyren Lacy would still be alive and living out his dream of playing in the NFL!!!!

re: Evidence from Kyren Lacy Wreckless Case (HeartBreaking)
Posted by SupermanSlim on 10/3/25 at 6:02 pm to APtiger
Shows how unreliable eyewitnesses can be! The woman was driving too fast behind the gold truck. When he hit his breaks she almost rear ended him so she swerved into oncoming traffic. Lacey was over 200 feet away. This is unreal

I absolutely believe he’s injured. His throws lack the velocity he had last year. His deep balls are under thrown. He is not accurate on the shorter routes resulting in several drops.
re: Nuss needs to stay on the bus!!!

You can tell that Nuss is injured. He hasn’t been able to throw the ball deep. He needs to rest This week so he can be in better shape against Ole Miss.
