This is making LSU look dysfunctional. You fired the man without cause and started negotiating the buyout.

Then 14 days later you said, no we didn’t fire you. Now we are firing you with cause.

Because to fire him with cause you had to notify him within 7 days of the termination. LSU didn’t do that. So now they just claim that they never fired him until now.

It’s nasty politics and it will be a huge red flag when recruiting coaches in the future

LSU is trying to commit fraud and get away with robbery. The state won’t pay damages unless the congress appropriates the funds.

I can’t imagine Kim Mulkey and Jay Johnson are happy to see this.

Honestly he should be paid. LSU has an obligation to honor the contract. What they are doing is unprecedented and amounts to pure theft

The Governor used his power to force LSU to fire the Athletic Director because it’s fault we had that coach. (Like the boosters weren’t trying to get Kelly! The AD just got the job done

Now LSU says. “We didn’t fire you.” The athletic director who fired you didn’t have authority to fire you”. (Only the governor can fire you). But you cleaned out your office and didn’t show up to practice. So you abandoned us. So
Now we gonna fire you with cause. It’s a pretty obvious attempt to not pay the man what you legally owe him

Now imagine trying to recruit a top coach to come to LSU and deal with this.

Imagine trying to recruit players. Imagine trying to keep your current roster from jumping into the transfer

Let’s look at the big picture. Lacy didn’t directly cause the accident, but his actions did cause the chain of events that led to it. Saying he was “behind the accident” when two vehicles hit head on is misleading a little. It also doesn’t say how fast lacy was driving when he passed the 4 vehicles. Even though he was 75 yards from the accident, it’s probably only about 2 seconds away if both vehicles are traveling 55 mph..

The car behind the truck was following too close and traveling faster than the truck. She made a horrible decision to turn into oncoming traffic! She was following at an unsafe distance at an unsafe speed which prevented her from stopping in time. Instead of rear-ending the truck, she caused a head on collision that killed a guy.

Shows how unreliable eyewitnesses can be! The woman was driving too fast behind the gold truck. When he hit his breaks she almost rear ended him so she swerved into oncoming traffic. Lacey was over 200 feet away. This is unreal
