A lot to do with playing time, the OF portal additions pretty much eliminated a need for him. This was known for a while, he wasn’t going to make it in the class and was pretty much just using LSU as leverage to get drafted higher.
We can lose out on Brewster tomorrow, I’m good. I want Royal.

LINKSales just committed to Indiana fyi
This is crazy, how do we make these numbers work? NCAA has to fix the calendar.

[quote]We’re at like 46/41 right now. Still expect Garcia and Guidry to be gone off the roster to the pros.

Where are we on numbers Lester? How many of these guys could we conceivably take roster size wise?

Man Guidry can be extremely useful. He’s just a situational spot pitcher you bring in against guys that struggle hitting righties with off speed stuff. The Zach Yorkes off the world. He did get absolutely hammered last year but it was post injury. I can see a world where he’s extremely helpful at least early on while you get some of these young guys up to speed next year. The numbers look tight tho. I don’t know how we managed this.
I’m always going with the Louisiana kid

I know teams can and will over pay based on slot value but where does a round five guy sit typically as far as guaranteed money goes?
What is that 4 top 5 picks in 4 years?
Honestly, for this board, I think you come out pretty good if that’s all it was.

Damn Chicken going to have to find someone else to moderate the board in early August if he's going to be tied up with all that.

The biggest thing with the 5* status of these kids is that fifth star is saying he is one of the top 25 to 35 players nationally but also that he's almost a lock to be drafted early and play professionally but at that size, he's such an outlier at the pro level its extremely hard to get them to overlook that. I don't think anyone thinks he wont be a great college quarterback based on skills and abilities.
They really are on a super impressive run in all sports as far as building championship caliber programs go. We all knew they were a sleeping giant and once they joined the sec the money would come flowing in and it was only going to be a matter of time. I'll always have that look of shock and disappointment on McConaughey's face in 2019 to help get me through tho.
He’s really done a great job

Do you all not understand how the donor networks actually work? The people that donate money expect and are given some insight into the programs they support. These conversations happen over lunches, fund raisers, business meetings etc. These things get talked about all the time regardless if you knew the former GM in Phillys case on a personal level or not. You obviously get to that point by having some personal relationships to people around the program. Problem is every time one of them comes on here yall attack and rip them apart accusing them of being full of shite. Yall have ran off just about every somewhat insider there’s ever been on here. They are all talking to the same people everyone else is. You think Mascona and Wilson Alexander, Shea Dixon talk daily to Lane, Verge and Billy Glasscock?

I dunno but Hayes Fawcett just reported the guy that did this just committed to Ole Miss and he chose Ole Miss over LSU.

Probably both, Woodward handcuffed the baseball program too.
Damn that’s big. Creates a ton of depth in the OF. Stainfield and Brown showed you last year why that’s so important.
