I booked some place called 3 peaks lodge which is close by skiing and only 150/night

Fisherman have the right to wade fish or float the water
Wading on private streams is a pretty big no-no here

Lol wut?
Water rights have been a big deal out here long before any liberals were here. If you don’t own the water rights you may not collect any water on your property and in some cases you may not be allowed to use the stream at all.

Is Breckenridge requiring mask to entire everywhere? I was in Carbondale, Crested Butte and BV recently and they weren’t messing around. No mask no entry anywhere.
That’s how it is here, lots of talk about folks from new hotspots bringing it back here. We were an early outbreak location and even had the first case in the state across the street from my house. We shut down before the rest of the state and have been slower in opening up.
Wearing masks is expected and isn’t political up here, just looking out for your neighbors so it’s still required in all stores.
Frisco and Breck both have promenades set up on their man streets. Usually you must wear a mask when entering a restaurant but you may take it off at the table. Most indoor seating is still limited as well as the number of customers allowed in stores.

GOP is just going to spend that money on some other bullshite like MRAPs for police departments so I’m down with giving it to the folks on unemployment so they spend it and it ends up in the local economy.

Lay off the Fox News there brotha, I was conservative all through college and never had a problem let alone got kicked out of college for it. Nobody in this country is getting kicked out of a college (public or private) for their political party affiliation.

The Basin isn’t reopening. When they laid off their staff most of them left the county, id be shocked if they could round up the staff to reopen.

There’s still a lot of folks from out of town here, I’m not really sure why though. There are still quite a few rental and Texas plates around and half the front range still comes up to ski and boot pack skin tracks. Businesses may not be open but trailheads are definitely full.

Congaree National Park has a nice boardwalk and a few short trails, it might be too hot for that this time of year though

re: Best all wheel suv for snow driving
Posted by PearlyBaker on 10/12/19 at 8:45 am
Subaru is the answer here. I drive up Loveland Pass every day in the winter and have passed countless Jeeps, SUV’s, and 4x4 pickups stuck in the snow bank. Snow tires make a huge difference too though, there’s no amount of snow I won’t drive in with my beat up old Forester with snow tires.

What's some good activities around the area for this time of year

We love going to Colorado in the summer, specifically Breckenridge, but I'm just never impressed with the food.

Beautiful state but half is the desert and Denver is getting rediculous. I find Utah to be much more beautiful and the skiing is better. however it doesn’t compare as you can drink more than a 3% beer and smoke pot in Colorado.
re: Best family ski trip location?

quote:Keystone is flat, flat, flat. Plus they have night skiing which is usually pretty fun and pretty much dead. Blues there would be green most other places in the county. There’s not a whole lot going on after skiing though. Breck and even Frisco has more of that ski town feeling than Keystone does.
Going to go against the grain here, but I wouldn't recommend Keystone for your first trip. The mountain doesn't have many greens. You will be doing the same 6-7 runs over and over again(1 run in particular).

You would be well advised not to drive back from Colorado into Texas carrying a bunch of weed, especially the derivatives like oil or wax.
