Maybe because we have a guy named Tre Morgan playing 1B was the reason we didn’t recruit him. ...

Agreed! A lot different going from Reliever to Starter. Announcers just said the pace of play is slow for LSU. ...

Maybe scored that way but your catcher has to block that pitch. It was an easy block! ...

I remember when Broussard was the leading hitter on the 2018 team until his hand got crushed after hit by a pitch by Vanderbilt pitcher. Injured so badly that plates, pins, and screws were necessary. Only stayed out for a couple weeks and returned way too soon because he was needed at second base.

Agree ?? that putting a freshman in a high pressure situation when he has not seen the field in 2 months is on the coach. He didn’t make some of the SEC trips either. Mind boggling the reasoning behind it. ...

LSU lost in Finals in 2018, not Semi-finals. Ole Miss beat us....

That’s on the runner not the 3B coach when the ball is in front of them. I don’t think Cain is a good 3B coach, but that decision is on Dugas. ...

Every LSU catcher moves away from ball by having arse go one way and catching arm another. Milazzo and Travinksi does it also. That’s not what you teach when ball is inside or outside. Catchers should slide their body over and try and center the ball. This has been going on all year. Frustrating!...

Manieri teaches that if a throw from outfield has to be cutoff, then the runner will likely be safe anyway. So they are not allowed to relay ball home. Instead, they are taught to catch ball on throwing hand side to be set to throw to another base. Totally unorthodox and goes against normal baseba...
re: What's up with the baseball necklaces?
Posted by Backntheday on 4/16/21 at 7:13 pm
LSU Teams wore jewelry in late 80’s/90’s but just didn’t display them like players do now. They wore them under their jersey. I’d rather baseball jewelry being displayed than having to see tattoos up/down arms and neck. ???????...
re: CPM on OTB this morning

I agree on that. The best pickoff at 2B is the daylight pick between infielder and pitcher or wheel move, but they haven’t done that either. I have seen some of those things you mentioned for sure with respect to offense. All of those offensive aspects are part of their BP rounds and important. I ...

Nope was there in plenty of time. For example, you telling me you witnessed our pitchers working with our middle infielders on timing pickoffs at 2B? I never saw that happen once. How many times you saw them pickoff at 2B from 2018-2019. I'll tell you. In 2 years, LSU attempted 1 pickoff at 2B. ...
