Maybe Sean can lend us AK41 for a day, I’m sure he wouldn’t mind some comeuppance against the school that signed him out of HS and then squandered his talent.

Give him Tory Carter’s Jersey (what, it’s not like we’re using him anyway), and if anyone says anything, just call them racist.

Have you seen how much eye black Carter puts on? He's two smears away from being racially inappropriate.

In his highlights he is so "flexed out" at times he could drink a gatorade and talk on a headset.

No lie.

His highlights do look great, and they worked the kid out at camp. I'll trust them on this one.

Watch Max Johnsons film and you will see in most highlights he is running for his life at the snap of the ball. He gets immediate pressure.

Good points. Not only is he under pressure, but almost every play is a designed roll-out. His accuracy is probably suffering a lot because he's always throwing on the move.

We'll see how this season plays out, but those clips also show him to be a lot more mobile than I'd thought.

Why would you make a comment like this. What would you have expected to see out of him that led to your opinion?

I guess, to be kind to OP, the interpretation could be that if Myles is starting because of a Burrow injury, we're in trouble not because of Myles' talents — but because our backup at that point is a true freshman.

Anyone else likes to mix Alfredo and marinara?

Alex Ovechkin supposedly does this, BTW. The other players say it's weird.

Simple advice would be to get to campus early (you can google LSU campus layout) and simply walk around introduce yourselves as visitors from Canada coming to experience what u heard was the greatest CFB venue in the US. Tailgate crews will eat that up and roll out the red carpet for you. If you can coordinate your Gameday attire to incorporate both a Canadian symbol with LSU gear it will make it easier for the tailgate crews to understand (some might be pretty well sloshed by the time u get there).

I've sent a couple of groups of Canadian colleagues to their first college football games at Tiger Stadium with this same advice. They returned dumbfounded and amazed at what they experienced.

Simply, the best food and the best people they'd ever come across.

You're going to have fun.

How do you make your curry crab and shrimp?

This. Recipe please? I've never had this before.

(And definitely okra in seafood gumbo. And oysters. And gumbo crabs.)

Yeah, that makes it right.

Bad comparison

I was just about to post that he reminded me of Sam Mills -- not physically, but because if he touches you, you're going down.

Then again, missed tackles don't make the highlight tape.

Brodyman said a few days ago that he was leaning LSU. You know that is what he was hearing. I wonder what happened?

Again, he was totally off base with that. LSU hasn't been recruiting Manuel for months now.

That was the only piece of supposed info he provided that ran contrary to what's been on 247...which is strange because it seems like everything else was copied straight from that site.

I could never understand how a black kid would go to Ole Miss. Nothing against any of you tea baggers on this site, but I think slavery pretty much still exist in Oxford. Oxford is old white money southern... Pre civil war southern. Again...no offense to any tea baggers on this site.

Something tells me you don't understand the terms "no offense" and "tea baggers."

If God has a sense of humor, we'll get this kid.

And Hawthorne will have to repeatedly call his name.
Was just going to post that. You've got the date right, but the weekday wrong. CG is committing tomorrow, Tuesday the 17th.

Rashard Robinson was a 4 star recruit when he committed and when he signed. what the hell kind of star gazer 'doesn't buy' the skill of a 4 star player?

The OP was probably thinking about how Robinson was underrated at the beginning of his recruitment -- he kinda came out of nowhere, after having switched schools for a time.

I remember him being a three-star when we first started recruiting him. Maybe even when he committed. I think Scout had him as a three-star.

He is the king of the Catastrophe Syndrome and seems to get just as, or more, excited when the other team makes a play.

This. I could almost live with the fact that he hasn't a clue as to what's going on in the game, but his Chicken Little, "woe is us" attitude is absolutely terrible and unbefitting a first-rate university.

LSU played its best defensive game of the year, held Florida without a touchdown, and you would've thought we were manhandled by what Hawthorne was saying.
quote:

Not sure if there is video available for it, but Eric Martin made one of the greatest catches of all time in that game running a deep crossing route where either his cleat had come off earlier in the route or just and he stretched out for the ball...but he was laid out horizontally without a shoe as he made the catch.

This. I've said for years (decades now) that this was the best catch I've ever seen made by anyone. Completely horizontal, 12" off the ground, caught the ball with one hand outstretched.

Jarvis' one-hander last year ranks second, but distantly.

FYI, a fun fact. I remember it being reported that Dalton had 32" thighs. I found it amazing at the time that his thighs were as big as my waist.

That was a LONG time ago!
