Goon, thought we wouldn’t see or hear from you till next year.

No list of what elite coach we could get because we aren’t an elite basketball school. We wouldn’t draw a top level coach. I just don’t think he is worth the $12M+ in buyouts it took to get him.
I, for one, am not a fan of this hire. I don’t believe he is worth the buyouts to get him. What’s he done so spectacular at LSU or any other place he’s been since?
You people need to get a grip on reality and move on. Will Wade is not coming back here.
Don’t agree with the OP but don’t think we should spend heavily to get a new coach. Get a young, aspiring assistant…don’t try hiring an overpriced head coach.
If nothing else works, there will be people selling their season tickets but they won’t be in your name.
Landry needs to stay out of LSU’s business.

re: Penalties

The penalties cost us at least 1 or 2 scores. But they were all legit. The face masks…ripped the Houston qb’s helmet off. Horsecollar. Refs called a fair game. We just played sloppy, careless.

1st or 2nd round…CFL

He might be able to lock up the Mr. Irrelevant pick in the NFL.

re: Non-Playoff Bowl Games useless.

To the OP:
Don’t watch.
The playoffs have made these bowls somewhat meaningless as far as being the CFB champion but that doesn’t make useless.
Maybe you don’t enjoy college football but a lot of people do. These bowls generate income and exposure for the city hosting them. They give teams practices they wouldn’t normally have. In our case, while Kiffin and staff aren’t coaching this game, I’m sure they were watching the practices.
For the kids playing (we have to remember these are 18-22 yr old college kids) in some cases this will be their last game playing a sport they love.
So, just don’t watch and allow the rest of us to enjoy one last game.

Sorry to see him go.
I just don’t want Tulane to win, I want Tulane to soundly beat them and send them back to irrelevance.

Yawn…
Plus side is the practice time. Kiffin can evaluate the talent he has.
The stadium he just left has a banner proclaiming themselves
SEC Western Division champs
I still haven’t.
But he’s our coach and I’m an LSU fan first.
I want to go! Should be fun.
Have an LSU friend who lives in Jackson. Go in his truck because anything with a Louisiana plate will be trashed. Bring and wear a rain poncho for shite being thrown.

Press conference

Posted by TigerWatch on 11/30/25 at 7:32 pm
Anybody know when the press conference welcoming him will be?
After his past “success” in the NFL, I don’t see him going back to the pros.
Will he leave us…absolutely. When? Who knows. When the Bama job opens? 3-5 years. Could he stay longer? Sure, if he’s having the success he wants.

He attended Southern University Law School. He should’ve been at the Bayou Classic. Except no voters there for him.
This has been my concern all along. I’m not a Kiffin fan but if he’s the LSU coach, I’m all in with him.
But if he’s stays, how does Verge go to our 3rd, 4th or 5th choice?
“Coach, we’d like you to come lead LSU…”
