Nah, Skenes is a cheat code in MLB...those college kids barely stood a chance!

Maineiri has become the Brian Kelly of college baseball. He was a good coach with a championship season however, when he wore a younger man's clothes.
Neither is true in the case of Brian Kelly
Former Baseball Tiger Shawn French

Not sure who here remembers Shawn but he's a friend of mine from back in our LSU days and still is to this day. Anyway, Shawn has spent the last few years becoming an author and a very successful Podcast host. His Podcast is called "The Determined Society" and is consistently in the top 25-30 among the overall podcast charts and often #1 in his category. Check out his page, books, and show...it's really good stuff!

I hope you're just trolling.
That's the only explanation! If there is 1 name that NEVER leaves the lineup it's Curiel!

Seems that the consensus is Big Poppa and I'm good with that, although if I were coming up with something different I'd go this direction...
He's from "Campbell" California so "Campbell's Chunky" is what I'd suggest!

There should never be any logo painted in a baseball OF...That looks tacky and dumb.
Agreed, it looks fine for softball but it's a no from me as far as baseball.
There are certain things like this, black pants, organized dugout cheers, and face masks that are okay for softball but don't belong in baseball.
I wish some schools like Tennessee, Kentucky, and Vandy would pay attention! :spank: :geauxtigers:

It absolutely is! I'm so glad we have a competent crew handling this!
I know it's dumb for it to bother me but I've never understood why Florida doesn't either paint green over the yard lines or not paint yard lines at all in their midfield logo! It just looks stupid...which tracks since it's Florida!

He’s responsible for LSU not winning two or more championships
I say it all the time, he cost LSU more championships than he won us.

Chambliss would be returning to no Lane and no Charlie Weis. Risky.
The NCAA would be doing him a huge disservice by granting his waiver! The best thing they can do for the kid is to deny it!

ABSOLUTELY!
He WAS a spoiled brat who was given jobs he didn't deserve early on!
That is not uncommon, however what is rare is that he humbled himself, went to work for and learn from the best there was, grew up along the way, and worked/earned his way to where he is now!
I hated him prior to FAU but have grown to respect and even like him now!

Do late 1st rounders make more than a starting SEC QB these days though?
The 32nd pick in the 2026 draft will get roughly $3 million in year 1 however the total deal is worth north of $16 million.
So let's say Ole Meth overpays to keep him and gives him $6 million for next season...he doubles next year's money but what after that? If he rides the Nuss Buss next year the $6 million is his last check from football.
That's quite the gamble with very very little potential increase in 2027 considering the staff changes in Oxford!
ANY sports/financial advisor worth his salt is sending him to the combine immediately!
