400,000 visitors for one is way too much for an event that culminated on a Tuesday.
July 4, 2023 was Tuesday.
Superdome seats maybe 80,000 for a concert of this type. 26K hotel rooms in downtown. Add another 5k or so for traveling vendors or artists and their entourage.
How many per room? How many air bnb? How many drive in and leave? own a tri plex on Esplanade and it's booked. The guy next to me has a 7 bedroom and he has been packed the three years I've been next door. Like I said I don't know if the numbers are right or wrong but if the city does decide to give the $12 mil I'm sure it's worth their wild.

If the President, governor etc gets killed I think it should get recognized. A political commentator … not so much.
If Don Lemon a Louisiana native gets killed do you think the Saints would hold a moment of silence? I doubt it and they shouldn’t. I feel the same for this guy. Just like I don’t think flags should be at half mast or putting a statue of him in the Capitol. To me those honors are for certain dignitaries, titles, positions. Not a podcaster.

What is there to explain? I pay good money for 4 lower level seats to watch a game and be entertained. I do agree that some things should be recognized… Sept 11th, Katrina, elected officials, community leaders, anything dealing with kids.

As much as I'd love for us to get Geralds I have serious doubts. I'm flying to Atlanta and plan on going to the announcement wearing the purple and gold.. praying!!!
