Good job brother. You did it all by yourself.

Do you realize how many people are involved in this production? It is not just 12 people behind closed doors. The entire show needed to know ahead of time to know what to say and review the graphics before going live.

Exactly. People are doing it on purpose at this point because of these posters getting worked up about it.

They are obviously doing it on purpose because people like you are getting worked up about. If you keep making it issue, the more they will keep doing it.

Scott Walker. This has to be the peak of his career.
re: Married folks — do you and your spouse keep separate checking accounts?
Posted by meltingman on 11/22/25 at 6:08 pm to HoustonGumbeauxGuy
Yes, joint accounts but we use them as separate accounts for our primary checking and savings accounts. We both have successful careers and do not need to worry about what each other are spending money on. Married 22 years.
Both of our names are on each account. Her paycheck goes into one account, and my paycheck goes into the other account.

Wader recommendations

I am looking to get a pair of chest waders, non-insulated and with bootfoot. $600 to $800 range. Any recommendations?

I love the two pairs on sun glasses. Particularly the white ones.
re: Looking at buying older generation 4Runner.. Worth it or too old a vehicle?
Posted by meltingman on 9/18/25 at 7:02 pm to SaintTiger80
Worth it is relative. I have a 1990 2nd gen 2 door with V6 3.0VZE. The engine has a bad reputation from "experts" for head gasket issues. It is still going strong at 220k. Worth it to me to have significant body work done and repainted.

I have a Henry lever action 410 and shoot Hornady sabot slugs out to 50 yards. Just for fun we were hitting 50% IPSC plates (9"x15") consistently center of plate.

Try disconnecting the battery between using the jeep. This might help determine if the issue is parasitic draw.
I have the same problem with a small '94 John Deere tractor. Fought if for a couple of year but now just disconnect the battery between uses and it starts up every time.

M2 has more recoil than the a400, but it’s probably not a big deal for an adult male out of a 20 gauge.
I prefer the felt recoil from the M2 inertia system.

Surveyor and Esquire need to meet in the squared circle or sonic and figure out who’s correct, my money on surveyor.
Where is the differentiation on the survey from the tax assessor?
This. Now you can ask for more $
A prior owner (two owners ago) of my property bought it as 470 +/- acres. Had it surveyed at 495 acres. It is currently recorded with the tax assessor as 495 acres.

I have both in 12 gauge. I prefer shooting the Benelli M2 over the Beretta A400 for better recoil and accuracy.
In my opinion, only thing the Beretta A400 Xtreme Plus has going is the tapped receiver. I added a pic rail for red dot or thermal. It now has it's place.

I have a CZ 457 in a Manners stock with a Vortex PST 5-25 scope and other goodies from Area 419. My ammo preference is Lapua Center-X. It shoots tiny groups out to 100 yards. I competed in NRL-22 matches and have hit 2 MOA targets out to 300 yards. There are guys really into this who are running $4,000 rifles and crazy set ups with barrel tuners.
Try different ammo to see what your rifle likes best.

re: Sig Question
Posted by meltingman on 7/26/25 at 6:56 pm to Cleathecat
This does not surprise me. SIG has too many things going on from pistols, rifles, optics, suppressors, ammo, etc. What other firearms manufacturer has so many products in the market. They came on pretty strong the last 10 years or so. They tried to break into the long range/hunting market with the SIG Cross with many terrible reviews. They should have focused on doing one or two things well instead of trying to capture all segments of the firearms industry.

Went in 2023 and our ranger(guide) was incredible. Two person group and we booked him for two hours. He arrived on time and just casually started talking and it started turning into a story from the beginning looking at Emmitsburg Road and Cemetary Ridge. Our ranger said he had time to give us a four-hour tour and did not charge us for it. We tipped him well.
