Leann Rimes in her prime was hard to beat. And Faith.

He never had that burst from the outside that you would expect given his physical tools. He is a physical specimen and has good speed. Not sure why it didn't translate better. Perhaps he is a bit undersized?
Best of luck to him. A fine young man.

Coach Obrien and OC putting on a clinic on how to call plays…

Boston College play calling has been terrific. FSU is confused and don’t know what is coming. BCU mixing the run and pass nicely.
re: What would the cost for Walker Kessler realistically be?

I've always liked Kessler. He can run, defend, block shots and rebound. He would change the whole dynamic under the rim. Underrated offensive game as well. Do it!
This is a huge loss. He was our starting catcher every year before injury. Then we experimented with him in RF. He never looked settled to me. The dude will be an absolute studd when fully healthy and catching full time.
I think it could have been a called strike. It was a good pitch.
Do you think USC will run any hit-and-runs?…

Death, taxes and hit&run under coach Pulmonary. The man stuck to his principles no matter the situation. It used to infuriate me at times but at least the man was consistent. I felt like he ran us out of some innings in the past but what do I know? His record speaks for itself.
I like the man and wish him well at USC unless he is playing us.
Good luck coach.

Home cookin again… that check swing called strike against WVU was as bad as Ive seen…

Horrible call in a crucial situation. That check swing didn’t even touch the plate. Ump’s simply got to do better…
He had just been moved to RF after Larsen was pitch hit for and they inserted Kling at CF. So he wasn’t familiar with the lights, etc from that position.
Also the ball was absolutely scorched and did not have a lot of loft and was tailing. The batter barreled it up for sure.
Not an easy catch at all.

We held UNC to 4 runs with patch work pitching…

The pitching did enough. The bats did not deliver. Just that simple.
Brown is going to be a stud and we are glad to have him.
We weren’t going much farther this year anyway.

Dude he was playing out of position. Normally in center.
I think he lost the ball.
The bats lost this game. You can’t ask for more than giving up 4 runs with a patch work of pitchers.

I was assuming he would start Coleman today anyway…

Tough spot for him. Let’s go Javen!
Pitch them in this order. Get 2 innings from Coleman and Ack then piece the rest together.
Coleman, Ack, Hellmers, Dutton, Ulloa, Loer, Moffet, Guidry…

Looks like we got some decent arms available for tomorrow…
As a coach do you start a player slightly better offensively or better defensively….
Posted by Eatem up on 6/2/24 at 6:12 pm
I know it matters what position they play, i.e., middle infield, but how do you decide as a coach?
I get frustrated sometimes when an LSU opponent plays better defense and seems to have better fundamentals when we are more of a power team and rely on the long ball… but how do you decide? Once you have your team put together… do you play offense or defense? I think our power team concept has worked over the years for the most part but of course there is a trade off and at times we will struggle defensively.
What say you?

Little’s absence will be felt…

Could really use the innings he would provide especially now that we got to play through the losers bracket.
Others gonna have to step up.

I would’ve like to see Neal PH today. He has occasional power and is switch hitter. Get him back involved in the team a bit more…
re: Tanks leading off?…

All of our power at the top of the lineup. I like moving Milam up but don’t like Tommy leading off. Braswell was doing well leading off.
Tanks leading off?…

Looks like CJJ trying to get Tommy out of his funk. Not sure I like the new batting order but I trust CJJ with his decisions.
I personally would have put Milam 2 behind Bras leading off, Tommy 3.
Let’s roll!

Is this game really on ESPN! Awesome! I thought it was going to be on ESPN+
