Yes he does. Why do you think he fired JJ & brought in Will Wade ??. If he didn't care he would have let JJ coach another ten years. I spoke to him after Wade's last game as coach at the Indy football stadium. He wants a winner. That's why he hired Wade. He is not gonna settle for mediocrity and a last place SEC finish. Change has to be coming.
I would compare it to Blacksburg - definitely a college town. Nice campus. We tailgated in Blacksburg the night before and the day of the VA Tech game and had a really good time. Met Dandy Don and had a really good conversation with him. Despite the game we had a lot of fun and basically took over the parking lots. Tech fans had never seen anything like it before. I ended up with about 40 tickets so I was able to help several people out. The rematch at LSU in 2007 is one of the two best regular season LSU games I've ever seen in person. The other was when we clobbered Oregon in Dallas to open the season in 2011 I think. Years tend to run together as you get older!!
About a week after he was hired, Saban and the Chancellor flew to DC to meet with the Louisiana State Society of Washington DC. I was a member at the time. I went to the meeting. There were maybe 75 of us. I talked to Saban for about 15 minutes. I could tell he felt uncomfortable among all the politicians. We had a really good conversation. I knew LSU was in good hands. After that he just stood off to the side and made small talk. The whole event lasted maybe an hour. It was like a Tuesday at noon so a regular work day for people in DC. Really neat experience.

Ruling out drugs/alcohol he either fell asleep at the wheel, or was distracted by his phone or lost control because of speed. I should be dead because I fell asleep at the wheel around 3:30 am on the way home from a friend's house. My car went completely off the road (2 lane road). When I came to my car had somehow stopped about 2 feet short of a large wooden for sale sign. I was going around 35 mph. The sign should have come thru my windshield after impact. I was driving a subcompact. The whole front end should have been destroyed. Ten minutes later a large Buick pulled up and asked if I needed help. He got his 2 right tires off the road behind me and pushed me out. It was muddy so I had very little traction. Before I had time to thank him he was gone. God spared my life that night.
We have been recruiting both Bass and Randy Livingston Jr for 3 years.
Basketball has almost no $$ to compete for players in the portal. We brought in 3 senior guards but no big guys. We would have had a chance in these 2 games if we had Jalen Reed. He is our best big guy by far. There is very little depth on this roster. We simply can't compete with other SEC schools for players because the $$ is not there. That's why we are having to rely on freshmen while Missouri is playing a guy that's 30 years old and has been in college for like 7 years.
He does not have the body to compete at this level. He has almost no muscle at all. He was manhandled by the big guys when we played FSU. He honestly should be redshirting. He needs at least 20 lbs of muscle to compete at this level.
The triangle offense is the best offense in basketball but nobody uses it anymore. Phil Jackson won several NBA Championships with it. Even without Michael Jordan he won with the Lakers. NBA players are too selfish to run legit offenses anymore. You have to be able to make cross court passes to run the offense and college coaches by and large don't teach that. Everything is high ball screen, which is easily disrupted if you have guards that defend.
Yes. Our best big guy by far, Jalen Reed is out for the year with injury. We would have likely beaten Vandy with him. He could draw defenders which left guys wide open to shoot. He was the player we could least afford to lose. Two guys can't make up for the impact he was having. He was having his best year here.
That's the amount each team is getting from the NCAA distribution of revenue that should have gone to the schools originally. Each SEC school will get approximately $20.5 million.

Not out of the playoffs. Kept them from getting a first round bye as they were not in the Top 4. I think at worst had they beaten SC they would have gotten a first round bye.
Most likely yes because had we beaten Florida we would have played Texas in SECCG & the committee clearly showed losing your Champ game doesn't hurt you. Texas has a good D but their offense is average. If Nuss had a good game we could potentially have beaten Texas & gotten the auto bid and a bye.
He is cleared to play and is practicing & will help fill the front court void from Reed's injury. Good rim protector. Coaches are looking forward to seeing what he can do. No plans to redshift.
IF A&M and LSU both win out the only other game we must have is Vandy beating Tenn, then we are in at 6-2. It doesn't matter if Mizzou beats Ark. Mizzou & Bama would still be below us. Of course if we win out and OU upsets Bama then we are in no matter what else happens.
He is a lot quicker than Baker and can dunk the ball. Plays a lot like former first round draft pick Anthony Randolph who was also 6-10.

How can you not watch a game that's on ABC ? All you need are rabbit ears and connect that antenna to the back of your TV. All local channels are still free. Unless you live out in the country then I can understand having to get a dish. YouTube TV provides all local channels. We pay $72/month and have it bundled with Verizon Fios Internet.
They were holding us all night. Never got called once. So they kept holding. Saivon Jones almost got tackled on the play he actually sacked Moss. It was blatant. I kept waiting for the flag that never came.
