I do not for the least bit fault people for sending their kids wherever is best for them, regardless of where they live.

If it is indeed a free for all and anybody can go anywhere, why do we have select and non-select?

And percentage means nothing with “traditional public schools”, only with magnets or charters.

Barbe has had over 25% out of zone students for quite some time.

Freshmen who live in Jennings and Sulphur playing big roles in the non-select championship game for a school in Moss Bluff.

ETA…I do not have a problem at all with parents sending their kids where they think is best. My problem is schools like this still being in non-select.

Also ETA…I’m fairly certain Live Oak has similar kids.

My main issue is the entire select/non-select joke of a system.

Might be a small sample size but the graph they showed earlier said he did better 3rd time than 2nd time.
