The other reason 401ks took off is the portability. The typical plan doesn’t have a vesting period, so an employee can look at the market and find new opportunities without sacrificing their retirement savings.
33 - Had to do surgery for my big arse underbite that was going to cause other dental issues if I didn’t finally take care of it. The thing that surprised me was just how little anyone cares.
Anybody checkout the duet album he dropped with Bryan Sutton today?

re: Ultrawide monitor

I have the Dell Thunderbolt Monitor and it is fantastic. I bought it to replace my dual monitor setup, that was annoying enough with my work laptop (MacBook Pro) when I had to reset it most days, and the monitors being uneven was slowly driving me insane. So I looked for a single monitor that can replace the thunderbolt hub and the dual 4K monitors. I also wanted the monitor to have a fast Ethernet connection for wired data and as many connections as possible for a simple audio interface. There were just a few that met my needs and this Dell was the best one I found. I have had it a year and am blown away by how satisfied I am with it. If you don’t need the kvm features, go with literally any other monitor.

I can’t wait to watch the biopic they’ll make about Billy Strings 60 years from now.

Already a pretty compelling biopic knowing his story, he just needs to continue to grow bigger
Discussion on Oregon boards revolve around family situation. Apparently, his mom passed away not long ago and there is another sick family member. I hope the best for this kid and hope he kills it on the field.

This feels really cheap but why don't more teams do this

I’m guessing there are only a few niche scenarios where it’s a worthwhile gamble, otherwise it’s a free play for a deep pass/Hail Mary and an untimed down.
25 years since the first wild uniforms debuted, dubbed “Generation O”, there are some wilder ones that has homages to the diamond plate and the Polynesian Uniforms, but they haven’t worn them yet.
Hutson is a transfer from Oregon, talented, but makes the mental errors
Yup, we stole him from Oregon State
Idaho’s defense has been stout and Oregon O-line hasn’t shown up. But Idaho hasn’t really moved the ball on offense.

re: Apple watch advice

If she plans to leave her phone a long way away from her device a cellular watch makes sense. If you have a cellular watch and end up not needing the service you don’t have to get a line with the carrier.

This is a great time to be shopping as there is an announcement in two weeks and may see some clearance deals from authorized retailers.

Apple also has a pretty generous return policy if she decides it’s not for her or she wants a different size/configuration after using it.

re: Sonos - Initial Set up

Posted by Duckismyspiritanimal on 7/18/24 at 12:57 pm
No, Sonos is great when it works and is working, but setup and repair can be a PITA. I had to migrate my setup to my new routers a couple weeks ago and it was not fun. One of my subs is still not set up.

That said, having a Sonos device (the first device) plugged into Ethernet and then adding new devices is the way I’ve found to remove most of the setup and networking issues.
I am because I got a second sub very cheap.

My living room where I live is a bit on the small side, so I’m rocking them on either side of my couch behind my side tables.

I’ve used my subs both in front next to the TV and behind the couch, and generally prefer them behind because of the bass-y rumble adds to the experience for me when watching movies.
There won’t be voice for a while, satellite connectivity is on the order of bytes per minute. Just not fast enough yet.
I always thought that the biggest issue, beyond booking or any of the nonsense NWO storylines, was that WCW kept hiring away WWF top guys to diminishing returns, the guys who were increasingly past their primes and were planted at the top of the card limiting opportunities for young talent. Meanwhile, WWF went young with Rock, Stone Cold, HHH, and later Angle. Even Taker and Kane were still only a few years into their runs. I think this dynamic, the opportunity to perform and rise up the card, was obvious to the younger talent at WCW, leading to Jericho and the Radicalz bolting over to WWE.
Ionescu’s shoe, which is the only real comparison, has done well enough for Nike to make a Clark shoe. I went to enough of my sister’s basketball games as a kid to see that there is/was an untapped demand for smaller and lighter shoes.

Not sure how Oregon is an 11 seed.

Oregon was so injured this year that they finally got healthy enough in March to win the tournament. I’m not sure how far we can go as our 3-pt shooting and ft% is bad, but a healthy Dante will beat a lot of teams.
I thought he was outstanding in mop up duty and wasn’t happy taking the transfer after he had been so loyal and made huge performance improvements. I think Tulane got a really good one that I wished would have been the next QB at Oregon
