re: LSU vs. Southeastern (part 2)

SE pitcher throwing nothing but drops yet LSU batters stay in back of box. Who’s the hitting coach. Pitcher isn’t throwing hard enough to throw by hitters. Huge unawareness, LSU hitting in dirt almost every at bat. Doesn’t matter, season over!
Softball team playing like baseball team. Mental midgets!

I’m sorry but keeping Jones in the two hole jerks my chain. Does he have embarrassing pictures of CJJ? He is too easy to pitch around right now. His head isn’t on straight right now and a desperate Jones chases too many bad pitches. Opposing coaches know this. Take the pressure off by moving him to 4 5 or 6. I think he’ll respond better to that.
This team is NOT a power hitting team. This is a small ball team that our hitting coach THiNKS is a power team.

What happened with him and the rest of the team is good SEC pitching. CJJ’s plate coaching has them jammed up. Coach needs to be the CEO and hire a good hitting coach. He must admit to himself that his style doesn’t work in the SEC unless he’s got a lineup up musclemen. Even then it sometimes doesn’t work. He needs to hire a coach that will develop each hitter to their strengths. One style doesn’t fit all and that’s the problem. I’m very unimpressed with the hitting fundamentals this team has at the plate. Very rarely do I see swings for hitting the ball where the pitch is. It’s all, swing as hard as you can and hope the pitcher hits the bat. Trying to pull outside pitches will almost ALWAYS lead to popups or Ks.

Pop ups occur when you take that long stride to hit it out. The longer the stride the lower the shoulders and head dip and swings get off plane. Shorter stride levels off swings and hit line drives occur. The batters eye is more still promoting better site of pitches.

Swinging for the fence causes a pull of the head. The whole team is off balance most of their at bats because of the up plane swing, gotta try to hit it out mentality. Even the boys with no arse are swinging for a 4 bagger. Opposing pitchers know this and are pitching accordingly.
Solo HRs will get this team NOWHERE!

This game was a back-up. VA vs FSU was the primary game but somebody shot up the FSU campus yesterday and I believe that game was either cancelled or postponed. I think?

Swinging for the fence every pitch will do that to you. He’s strong enough that a lot of line drive swings will end up 4 baggers. If he wants a big MLB contract this ain’t the way. The better the pitching the less mistakes they make for him. He’s scouted pretty good now and he ain’t gonna get many of “his pitches”.

Stupid challenge there. That was an OBVIOUS tag out.

Like I said, get the damn hook out. He ain’t got it tonight. His fast ball is flat.

CJJ better have that hook ready. We can’t get too far behind the way the Tigers started out swinging the bat.
LSU just took this one up the arse. Three really bad calls in a row turned this one, along with bad play by the Tigers.
That chickens hits receiver ran out of bounds before the stick?

We can’t be that lucky. He ain’t gonna step away from 65+mil guarenteed. If, for some unforeseen reason, we do get that lucky we better not let AD Woodward do another lazy-arsed hire. Better yet, make retirement a package deal.
