She looked less than thrilled. But maybe it was just a look of relief that the wait was over.

I thought she just announced that she was returning. College sports has become a revolving door.

Disagree. Coen’s routine was flawless. Not sure why the judges didn’t score it accurately
I just rewatched and I agree with you. She was so much better than 9.85. I don’t get why she seems to always get underscored.

LSU is #1 in the country on vault and it’s their most consistent event. Michigan St is #13 on beam, their worst event. Winning doesn’t matter, but LSU is in strong position to do so anyway.
Let’s hope we finish strong. Not killing it so far.

No it’s not. Nationals is a bigger deal and Chio has yet to rest in the AA this season. I’d rather Jay rest her today and we get second but still advance than have her fall apart at nationals in the semis and have us not advance to the finals to defend our title due to lack of rest
Well obviously lol but you have to get there! Hopefully we will kill it on vault and it’s a moot point!

Judges never do reward her. That’s the only reason I questioned putting Konnor in for Chio and not Coen. I was happily surprised at her beam score!

I get resting, but this is basically the biggest meet of the year.

Yes the meet is close, HOWEVER we get Konnor back on floor today with our 2 best events yet to come
But Konnor in place of possibly our most clutch gymnast? Why not in place of Ballard or Coen?

Great beam rotation but this is super close. Any two of the four teams have a chance to advance. My nerves are shot lol.

I legit am already excited for next years team. It's going to have a completely different look to it but I'm excited to see Knnor (hopefully), Kylie, Kaliya, and Lexi's extended role. I'm assuming Zoe as well?
About next year, I was wondering if we might see Cowan on anything besides bars. She’s so good on bars, it would be nice to see her in other rotations. Or is she strictly a bars specialist?

Was Kaliya injured when she got here, or did she injure her shoulder in the season?

In Roethlisbergers defense, he has been a huge LSU fan all season (and for years really). No other commentator compliments LSU ingeneral like he does. I really enjoy when he calls the meets.
Agree, and I didn’t see any disrespect towards LSU at all! In fact, I would almost say it was the opposite. I felt like the commentators showed LSU a lot of love! I know Aly and Taylor are big fans, as well as John. I don’t think it was intentional or done out of disrespect that we missed the first part of Haleigh’s floor. She is the queen in all their books!

I’m worried if we have to use both Sierra and Kylie on floor in post season. I’ve been really impressed with Kylie, but neither she nor Sierra are going to get us the 9.90+ scores that we need in post season. I’m not sure why, but it seems like that has been the case so far. I know Sierra has had some 9.90+ this year, but it’s so much harder to do in post season. For that reason, if Konnor is ready, I’d love to see her! Same with KJ but that seems to be a pipe dream lol.

long to rest. BTW, HVL still playing at resurgent TCU.
I haven’t been following HVL since she transferred, but I watched their game yesterday. She had 20+ points and was player of the game. Did we misuse her here? What was the problem, because it looks like she is sure flourishing at TCU. I have to wonder if personalities caused her to leave.

More like stumbled out! I thought is she drunk, tripping on her dress, or sprained ankle? And yes, she definitely has the joker look!

LSU has dropped to 6th on floor in the standings. LSU has always been in the top three in rankings over the years. I have struggled to understand some of the scores our team has received on floor this year. I hope Courtney can get the girls that are struggling back on track before the post season. We are going to need all the help we can get to rise to the LSU standard
Do you mean the girls are being underscored? Or they are not performing up to their abilities? Other than Aleah, who do you think is struggling?
And do we even expect to see KJ on floor this year? Each week I hoped she would be back, but now I’m not so hopeful. Especially after she tweaked her ankle again at Kentucky.

I saw on fb that KJ was on crutches after vault.

Yes! I forgot to mention that. Strahan was so disingenuous sitting there acting like LSU was so negligent and that no one cared about Brooks.

I watched the GMA story Michael Strahan did with Greg Brooks and his father. Then I happened to see a Hulu special about Isabella Strahan, Life Interrupted, and her battle with brain cancer. I was surprised to learn that Isabella was first told that her symptoms were probably due to vertigo, just like Brooks. Her surgery was successful, but not without serious complications, including having to undergo two additional surgeries due to infection. Strahan (by way of Brooks Sr.) made it sound like LSU and OLOL doctors were guilty of dropping the ball and much worse, when his own daughter’s experience was similar. Add in the smear job on Kelly, and the GMA story is a total hit piece. I hope LSU lawyers don’t settle without a fight.
