re: Where to watch the game in St Louis?
Posted by LSUsbetterthanyou on 9/24/11 at 12:49 pm
As mentioned before, the LSU Alumni group in town gets together at the Hwy 61 Roadhouse. It isn't much of a rowdy crowd, but they serve hurricanes, Abita Beer, LA style food, and you have some fellow Tigers to watch the game with. I'll be there.

Making my 3rd Auburn trip. We have 9 with us and none going to the game.
Also, I have an extra hotel room at the Sleep Inn 3 miles south of campus. Let me know if anyone's interested!

Anyone need hotel room in Auburn?
Posted by LSUsbetterthanyou on 10/16/10 at 11:44 am
I have a hotel room in Auburn for next weekend that Im going to cancel. It's at the Sleep Inn and Suites about 3 miles from the stadium. I hate to just let it go to some Auburn folks, so let me know if you're interested and we can figure out how to get it in your name.
They are charging $210/night

Can defense end QB debate?
Posted by LSUsbetterthanyou on 9/12/10 at 10:32 am
Here is my question...
The defense played outstanding last night. We allowed 135 total yards, had 6 sacks, very few penalties, and really only gave up one or two significant plays.
I'm on the fence with the QB situation. I think everyone agrees that Lee brings more explosive play potential in the passing game, but of course brings the interception risks. Jefferson tends to run a more conservative offense, but less risk involved with making dumb plays.
My question is, if the defense continues to play this well (yes I know it was Vandy), can we afford to run that conservative offense with Jefferson instead of allowing the possibility of interceptions with Lee? Basically, can we get by scoring 17-30 points per game? I think we can, but it sure is tough to watch that offense struggle...

I really thought it did not matter as long it was during his actual swing and not a practice swing. Obviously, he hit several loose impediments as he made contact with the ball, so the rule seperates his backswing and downswing??
Where to find Roux...
Posted by LSUsbetterthanyou on 2/20/10 at 3:44 pm
Has anyone that lives outside of Louisiana ever found roux at a grocery store? I'm in St. Louis and have no idea where to look...and no I'm not making it myself.

It is dissapointing. However, I would not call it a negative experience. I really enjoyed the trip. Its simply not worth being in a place where the people who are there to protect you (cops) are the worst behaved people.

We had a really good time. I will agree that the tailgating was weak, but I had never spent the entire day in bars before so it made it unique. Also, the Fla fans in the bars were great. I wasnt given a hard time until during and after the game. Of course the game was a bummer...stadium atmosphere was good. I think at its loudest point, it was louder than Alabama and Auburn. Loved the moss. Unfortunately, the Gainesville police were simply awful. I enjoyed the trip, but will not go back due to unnecessary tasoring, tackling, and abuse. I witnessed and heard some really terrible incidences...maybe they will have fun scraping the "forever LSU" stickers the students put all over the stadium

Classes were cancelled on that Monday night game. They will not cancel class for a Thursday game, which is the only way it would be possible. It can't happen.
