There is a brand new one from Shot Scope called the LM1. It's $199. Has a fairly bright screen (like 3.5" display). No simulator capabilities or anything like that but gives you the basics - ball speed, smash, carry, total, and clubhead speed. Saw some PGA Show videos on YT and this one popped up a couple of times. Its a doppler system so if you are hitting indoors, you'll need the room.
The rapsodo MLM gets pretty damn good reviews for a small, portable LM with sim capabilities. Probably the best under $1000. Mevo+ seems to be the best in the very next price tier up. But for under $200, hard to beat something for practice data if it's halfway decent on accuracy.

If you can't get on Diamante (best in the Village), then Granada and Isabella are the two best there (in that order). Granada is a great gold course. After that, some personal preference. I actually enjoyed Ponce De Leon and Cortez. We skipped Balboa to play Granada a second time.

I did the GC3 bundle from PlayBetter. There was a coupon code for over $1000 off as well. Bought a gaming PC from Best Buy. The Play Better setup has everything but the PC. It took my about 2 hours to set it up. Love it.
I bought the unlocked version that came with a free year to GSPro. That's what I use for all of the courses. I think it's $250 a year and you can find almost any course on there.

Is it just our fanbase that does this...team has the worst offense in modern LSU history yet our fans want to keep most of the staff in place. Just idiotic. We hire the best offensive mind in the game...but nah, lets keep Cortez - a guy that doesn't recruit worth a damn and has the most insane WR rotations ever. Make it stop.

probably, just based on the story but Ole Miss is going to the start the season with a loss to Louisville
That's my thoughts too. I think LSU/Clemson will be Gameday and then it'll be up to OM beating Louisville to get the slot for the 19th. If they lose it'll be up in the air. If both teams win games 1-2, for sure.

Unlike LSU, Ole Miss still requires an ACT to be taken, and does have a minimum qualifying score.
The minimum score must be 12 because their admission rate is 97%. That's basically admitting anyone that can stroke a check.

They have an engineering program? Damn. That's the worst school in the SEC unless you go to their accounting or law programs. I didn't even know they offered engineering. That's some bottom of the barrel engineers then.

Wut? I've killed dozens of deer with 30.06. It's my primary rifle. I've killed deer within 50 yards up to 400. It is one of if not the most popular caliber rifles used in hunting deer in the country. I'm sure all the hunters are just doing it wrong according to our resident expert.

So Kiffin is going to come to LSU and take a $10+M pay cut to be Saban's OC? Jesus man. Be careful walking in public without a helmet on.

Report back. I noticed those reviews too
I've play both the Chrome Tour X and Chrome Tour Triple Diamond. Both are fantastic balls. The X is similar in performance to the Pro V1x and the TD is basically the Cally version of the Left Dash. I found the TD to spin more with the irons and feel softer than Left Dash. If you have good club head speed, you can use it. MyGolfSpy's ball test showed it being the longest ball for high AND low swing speed off the driver. The X is long but definitely high launching and drops and stops on the greens. I love that ball. Has great greenside spin as well so adjust accordingly if you use it.
The Chrome Tour balls are very durable. Callaway knocked it out of the park with this lineup.

We stayed at the Player and Crenshaw houses on Oxmoor property. We had 12 guys...8 in one house and 4 in the other. They shared a putting green in between. Played all of the RTJ courses there - Valley, Ridge, Backyard and Roos Bridge after driving down from The Shoals last summer for our guys trip. It was a sweet trip. Those houses are legit. I'd never stay in a hotel if there is an Oster House near the course. Well worth it. We've come to BHam twice for our summer trips and while I prefer Capitol Hill, the Oxmoor/Ross Bridge set is fantastic. The Shoals are both awesome courses. Won't go back to Hampton Cove in Huntsville. Didn't like those course very much.

Found the Stryker rep
Nah...I'm an engineer for a biologics company. Just a big believer in the tech - know too many joint surgeons that echo that same sentiment. Even had a doctor in Denver that I know who fought the idea of a robot system for years and gave in. Said that objectively speaking, his patients are doing better, faster than before. Rosa and Velys are good robots too. My best piece of advice was the part about making sure your sugeon does a significant amount of joints every year and that he/she is extremely familiar with the one you get implanted.

How was it afterwards? Still about the same range of motion as before you ere messed up? I've got degen hip dysplasia. Shallow pelvic socket. apparently never had a good connection there and it ate away all my cartilage. Looking at getting one in the next few years. It doesn't hurt too bad right now and im not even 40 yet. Looking for general input.
My dad just had his done a couple of months ago by Jared Braud (surgeon at BROC who I went to engineering school with at LSU). He's a Cleveland Clinic fellow that uses Stryker and the Mako Robot. The Mako acquisition has been a complete game changer in total joint arthroplasty. I could not recommend it enough. My pops is 70 and approximately 10 weeks post-op. He's been driving for several weeks now, hasn't used a cane or need pain meds in forever. He needed it done due to a fall that caused a femoral neck fracture so it wasn't just due to a degenerative condition. He had his knee on the same side done a few years ago by Braud. Went well and has been rock solid in terms of ROM, functionality and pain relief.
I work in this industry for a medical device company. We work with some of the biggest arthroplasty surgeons in the US and I consulted with 3 of them prior to my dad's joint replacements. More so than anything, make absolutely certain that the surgeon you pick does hundreds of hips a year and has used his current system north of 80-100 times. You do NOT want to be a guinea pig for a new (to them) hip/knee system. The tried and true companies/implants can last a long time and success is almost always driven by the surgeon's skill - hips have a fantastic success rate because its a constrained joint. I think very highly of the Mako system but Zimmer Biomet and DePuy are also great systems that have robots now (although they are inferior to Mako). A poster earlier mentioned problems with Exactech...stay far away. They recently filed for bankruptcy. They are way down on the pecking order for orthopaedic implants (their specialty is revision implants anyway, which you hope to never have to go through).

Love everything about mine. Bought the very first DF3 at my club. I think the DF2.1 is the best one they've made but it's just too much to look at for me. The DF3 pushed my limit.
The Oz1.i (with the insert) is absolutely awesome. I've rolled a ton of putts with one that our assistant pro bought. It feels so much more like a traditional milled face putter. I'm sure it will help with lag putting for most right out of the gate. The DF3 took time to get speeds right on longer putts.
Like it's been mentioned, move the ball forward in your stance. I struggled my arse off for years with face rotation. My Spider putter was as good as I had until the DF3 went in the bag. The other thing I love is that I'm not afraid to roll a ball 3' by anymore. I will make the comebacker. Couldn't say that before. I'm sure the zero torque revolution will end one day but they must be doing something right...everyone is copying them.
As far as the cost goes...only something you can determine. But you use your putter more than any other club every single round. Seems crazy that we've normalized $600 drivers (stock) but we've also been conditioned to think that same amount is way too much for a club that is used every hole of every round (most use one 30 times in a given round). There are several facebook groups of people selling LAB putters and like it was mentioned, there is the outlet that sells returned putters or customs that are discounted. Check those places...you might find something to your liking.

As mentioned, Diamante and Granada is the correct answer. If you can't get on Granada, Isabella would be next. I preferred Cortez to Ponce but it wasn't as big of a gap, to me, as Granada/Isabella vs the Cortez/Ponce courses.
They are all worth playing but Diamante and Granada stand out big time from the rest. If you are at a club, just have someone call and get you on at Diamante. Its worth it. We get tee times there fairly easily when our pro calls.

I’m not sure how to find someone to get us on Diamanté.
You could always just call the pro shop and tell them you are coming up there for a trip and wanted to see if there was any way that you could play. If you or your other buds are members at a club, have the pro call. Otherwise, it wouldn't hurt to just call and ask. They weren't terribly busy when we went so I think they could squeeze a tee time in if they wanted to.

Playing Granada, Cortez, and Isabella.
Looking forward to it. Anyone here play these courses or have recommendations on where to eat/drink?
Those are the 3 best in the Village, in my opinion. Granada is very, very good. Can you have someone call to get you on Diamante? I love that one too. It's private within HSV but well worth it. Isabella is good too. Cortez is the worst of those three but still a fun course to play.
The grill at Granada's course has some good food that is really cheap (although I just looked it up and it appears its now mexican cuisine). I think a steak there was like $20. Burgers are cheap. There is a pizza place (Molly O'Brien's) right outside of the gates that's damn good too. We ate there a couple of times last trip we made there. We ate lunch at Ponce de Leon after we played there but I couldn't tell you if it was good or mediocre. HSV is a really cool place. We have a group of older guys at our club (24 of them) that go to HSV every September and stay 8-9 days and play a boat load of golf.

Just had our annual guys trip there. Played 2 rounds at GB, 1 at Preserve and the other at Shell Landing. Fallen Oak was closed for like 8 weeks before I booked the trip but we still went to Biloxi anyway.
It was the week of the tropical threat (July 16-20) so the Friday round was cart path only and that really sucked. But that Sunday was fine. Greens were very good. Didn't see any issues. Shell had punched several weeks prior and they were healed. Preserve punched two weeks prior and they were brutal. Very tough to putt on them. It was our first time playing Grand Bear and I was impressed. There was a girl in the pro shop so I missed the big guy delight - thankfully.
We had a cart girl out there too. Just an FYI - although it was easy to swing in the shop at the turn.
