They definitely have. As I said, OU paid Jamar $435k. Venables just hired a coach (Miguel Chavis), who has never been an on-the-field coach before, for the same role @ $600k per....

LSU had to "outbid" USC. Cost of living favors LSU obviously.

I think we all just kind of wanted it to be Venables and it was premature hope. Sources everywhere.
The candidates being talked about as of this morning are Rhule, Venables, and Lanning.
But like Woodward, OU's AD doesn't leak stuff so who knows.
May find something out today.
