It is horrible but you will get through it. Remember, what you are doing is the most loving thing you can do for your dog. Don’t be surprised if you are in shock for a couple of days after.
I had to put my 13-year old down Monday evening due to a hermangiosarcoma bleed. Tuesday at 4:30, I had to put my 15-year-old down due to osteoarthritis and degenerative myelopathy. Golden Retrievers are awesome but their diseases are not. I thought I would have more time with both, but that wasn’t to be. Two dogs in 21 hours. I wish that on no one.

Former friend had a son who died by overdose; coroner ruled it as such. Mom tried to blame it on a “brain bleed caused by a fender-bender” three weeks prior. Hired the famous Dr. Michael Baden to review the case. Crickets ever since. Why? Because the kid with a drug problem overdosed.

I’m so sorry; it’s the hardest decision, but better a week too soon than a week too late. Just know you gave each other the best years.
PS: My 14yo Golden is not far behind. Same issues. Hoping he makes it to 15 (July 23rd), but I don’t think he will.

What saved these two “fine citizens” is she died of apparent natural causes. The video made its rounds on social media. Coworker showed it to me. I don’t know if she was passed out, dying, or already dead but she was limp and these two shitstains (I don’t care) were laughing and egging on one another.
Most will be up in arms the second some grieving parent enacts vigilante justice. I won’t be.

Sister lives in Ormond. If you choose to live on the water, make sure your house is raised. It’s great, except for the twice-yearly bikefests. Like someone said earlier, Palm Coast is worth a look.
