You seem to think that I should be concerned that fools are making fun of me. That doesn't make any sense.

You are right. Storms and hurricanes never knock a healthy tree onto a house. Please forgive me. Thank you for helping me see the error of my ways. :rotflmao:

I understand that the law says that if a healthy tree falls on a house (anyone's house) it is an act of God. That is B.S.
If you have a tree that can end up in the living room, that is an act of stupidity.
Nothing in this post says anything about a tree hanging over a house.
Correct, nothing in that post said a word about a tree hanging over a house. Also, NOTHING in that response says anything about a tree hanging over a house. Your reading comprehension fellates deceased penguin penises.

Sorry, none of that was directed at you. Earlier in this thread some people were saying that having a tree hanging over a house is worth the risk because it gives shade to a house. Shade is nice, but having a tree that can end up in your living room is beyond stupid to some of us.

one of the water oaks split during a storm and hit the house the left, sparked an electrical fire, and it burned.
So sorry to hear that. All of that great shade lost. Luckily the only down side was a tree landing on a house and causing a fire.

Not a mature tree in sight.
That's....sad.
Not correct. The smart people around here have nice, mature trees, just not any that can fall on their house.
Start paying attention after thunderstorms, hurricanes, etc., and notice how many homes now have a tree in the house.
That is dumb as a bag of hammers. But hey, I look at the bright side, guys like you create jobs for carpenters, roofers, and others.

If shade is that important to you, vaya con Dios. It seems like it is about once a week I see on the news where a storm blew a tree down onto a house, and I think "what an idiot." But hey, you do you.

Would anyone downvoting this care to explain why it is a good idea to have a tree hanging over your house like the sword of Damocles?
re: Question about dishwashers

Check if the model numbers are the same. You can go to Lowe's and buy a riding mower for much cheaper than a place that specializes in mowers, and think you got a better deal. When it breaks, you find out it has plastic parts, and "the same one" you would have paid more for at the dealer uses metal parts.
