re: The downfall of orange juice.
Posted by Green Cup on 11/13/24 at 7:59 am
Natural orange juice without ADDED sugars is perfectly healthy. Naturally occuring sugars in fruits, and even vegetables, are NOT the same as ADDED sugar. Fructose, the natural sugar in fruits, is slowly digested in the body so it doesn't raise blood sugar levels as quick as ADDED sugar. It also has fiber, vitamins, and minerals in it.
Natural sugars are not the same as ADDED sugar. Look at the ingredients listing on your orange juice. If you do not see any type of sugar in the ingredients listing, it is natural orange juice with no added sugars.
Look at the Nutritional Facts listing also. If it includes any amount of "Added Sugars" under the Total Sugars sublisting under Total Carbohydrates, then you have sugars added to the food. If it only shows Total Sugars with no "Added Sugars" then it is just natural sugar found in the food, which is perfectly healthy.

I'll say it. I'd like to see CP3 come back to finish his career where it all started. Just one year.

First, the event was successful. It was our inaugural event, and we had 20 contestants. I ended up connecting with 2 coaches the day before the event, and they brought 4 of their kids to the event, and promised to bring many more for our event next year.
My 15 year old nephew won the competition. He hit 24 out of 40 shots and won $300. He then gave $100 back to the church. Thank you all for allowing me to post it here.
We also sold over 130 plates of fish.

I know this is NP, but I was hoping that some of my fellow Pels fans could help me out.
We are putting on a 3 point contest at our church in Denham Springs on Saturday, August 26 at 10:00 AM. It is a fundraiser for a mission trip some of our members are going on. There is a $40 entry fee and a $300 cash prize for the winner. It is open to all. We could use all the participants we can get. If you can shoot a ball, come on out. Thank you for your time.

FS - 2 Saints season tickets

Section 137, Row 32, Seats 5 & 6. I have had these seats since 2002. Great seats, right by the tunnel that the Saints players use for locker room. I am selling all games except the October 1st game against the Bucs, so I can take my son to his first game.
I paid $2,768 for the 10 games. I can show you my invoice. I would like to get $2,490 for the 9 games, which is equal to the average price I paid ($276.8) per game for the whole season. I can transfer the tickets via SeatGeek. You can reply here or w0228902@selu.edu

I like it because this gives us guys who are past our prime a chance to win at something that doesn't require speed, agility, youth, height, or strength.
If you can still shoot a basketball well, you can win. And it's for a good cause.

Would Coach O work at Tulane?
Posted by Green Cup on 11/28/22 at 8:04 am
If Fritz does leave, would Coach O be a possibility at Tulane? Or is it beneath him? Honestly, I hope not. With Orgeron's recruiting skillset, and the huge inventory of talent in the NOLA area and Louisiana at large, I would think he could build a solid team. He certainly knows the area well. I've never understood why Louisiana can't have 2 strong College football programs.
Of course LSU will always be LSU and be the flagship university, but I think we have more than enough talent to have another strong program. I mean, if Mississippi can do it (3 decent teams if you count Southern Miss), then we can to with our plethora of talent in State.

We have officially arrived, and the league knows it.

We had no business being in this game, much less even winning it. No BI, no Zion, no Herb. 3 starters out, on National TV and coming off a loss. Admittedly, I thought we were about to be embarrassed, or at a minimum, get humbled by the Mavs. I thought for sure, we would hold our own until half, and then slowly watch it get out of control...like so many years before...
But not last night. Not on Coach Willie Green's watch. Guys, this team is the epitome of heart and soul. A true team. We are so deep, young, athletic, long, aggressive, assertive, fast, aware, gritty, and tough.
The makeup of the role guys are perfect. Guys like Nance and Alvarado are vital. The energy and selflessness they exhibit are a perfect compliment for our Big 3. You could literally see Murphy come into his own last night. His stroke has no hesitation, and is pure. He is going to be huge for us. If you can continue to get Naji and Graham to play within themselves, not get out of control, they are a huge spark off the bench.
The development of our young guys is beyond encouraging, it's the best in the NBA right now. It sure looks like Dyson Daniels is progressing just like Herb, Murphy, Alvarado did last year. Major kudos to our development staff.
Then we have JV and Zion who own the paint, and can bang with anybody. I love that we can play big or small, and still put up points in bunches. CJ has the ability to create his own shot or get others involved whenever he wants. He is so heady. Even when his shot isn't falling like last night, you can see how he affects the game in so many ways. His defense was stellar, his playmaking was still on point. I feel like I am dreaming, but I think for the first time since we have had a team, we are the real deal.
And lastly, Coach Willie Green is absolutely perfect for this team and this group of guys. I would sign him to a lifetime contract. He corrects all the wrongs from previous coaching hires. I thought his in game adjustments and his line ups were what we needed last night. If we continue to play like this, he will win Coach of the Year. Book it.
Last night was huge. Absolutely huge. It told you something. When you can win without 3 of your starters, 2 of which are All Stars, and one who is going to be All Defensive 1st Team, you've got something special.
The league knows we have arrived. It's time we own it and walk with our chest out.

re: What % of the vaccinated do you think will die from it? Have life altering side effects?

I've heard this argument several times before. Just curious, if it has always been about population control, and the vax was pushed by the left, and it was the left who primarily received the vax, wouldn't it be counter productive as you are reducing your own voter base? If you truly believe it is about population control?
