John Stewart was the GL I grew up with due to the DCAU Justice League cartoon. I knew about him and Kyle Rayner before Hal Jordan. I'm totally fine with the DCU making him their primary GL (it helps that Aaron Pierre is the spitting fricking image of John Stewart and plays the part perfectly).
