re: Who else remembers that JD opted out of the bowl game during his Heisman year?

Cool…he got paid! He deserves every penny of it but opting out to get paid should eliminate any player from
receiving the honor that comes with retiring their number!

Skip was the GOAT! I appreciate him for bringing us LSU fans and Louisiana so many epic sports moments a winning tradition that we could be proud of. The man truly transcended the game! RIP Coach you’ll be missed but never forgotten!

Yes the “Dog Days of Summer” are officially coming to an end, but in reality we got another solid month of heat and humidity! Only reason we don’t bitch about September is because anything’s better than August!

Concur. Dog days of August are terrible!

True, but Ole Miss isn’t the only fan base that thinks like this? We (all fan bases) cope with these situations in a similarly delusional fashion.

After looking at the stats, I’m confident the PPG (25) will increase by 10 and ypg (331) by 100-150! Hoping that gives us 2-4 more wins and a play off spot!
re: Remember opening day with Les Miles?

Never thought I’d say this but I kind of miss Les Miles! His offenses were abysmal but his football teams as a whole were always “Damn strong”.

Don’t pull it in too deep..you’ll singe your nose hairs!

Why does this non football story line keep popping up? This season can’t get here soon enough!

He could stand in for Joy Reid and no one would know the difference!

Overall I like the fact that it levels the playing field and Alabama can’t buy national championships
that’s the silver lining, but I would rather go back to the 90’s when LSU sucked than invest my time and money into the circus we have now! In other words, If I wanted to watch mercenaries play for $$$ I’d watch the NFL!

With NIL the field has been leveled and the gross advantage Bama had with its “Boosters” has been eroded significantly. In other words Bama post NIL is not the same job it was before!
re: G5 Jon Sumrall throwing shots at Kiffin

If the roles were reversed we’d be shitting on Lane and praising up Jon!
I’m glad we have Lane but I also believe Sumrall will do well at UF.

Zero thought was given with regards to how this change was going to impact the psychological well being of the Rantards who complained incessantly about the strike zone!
re: I just watched LSU highlights in 2007.

No! No we can’t get back to those days! In the present state of CFB, those guys would get thrown in prison for the punishment they were dealing out!
re: Some LSU history you may not have seen

I always found it ironic, that UGA’s “fight” song is the Battle Hymn of the Republic! Would be like Japan playing the Star Spangled Banner!
re: Ever wondered how 2019 LSU would fair against 2011 LSU?
Posted by Tigris Christi on 7/9/26 at 10:51 pm to MilkJug
Depends on whether they were playing by 2011 rules or 2019 rules. If 2019 rules the entire 2011 starting defense would be ejected by half time for targeting. If playing by 2011 rules the all of 2019 offenses skill players would be on concussion protocols by half time! In all seriousness, I think Joey B’s leadership at QB is the difference and 2019 wins 31-24!

7-3 L vs Auburn 2006!
I know we’re talking LSU but JR is considered to be one of if NOT the worst #1 pick in the history of the NFL.
I’m good with leaving him of the QB list headlined by Burrow and Daniel’s and accentuated with two others( Mauck and Flynn) that led LSU to National Championships!
