Go ahead and put an asterisk next to every team going forward in The NIL portal era. The “TEAMS” are not built the same. JMU, Tulane, Oregon, Texas Tech, Alabama, UGA, Ohio state and Indiana ‘s current rosters would get annihilated by the pre NIL NC teams… probably going back to the late 90’s!

You mean the Ohio state team that played four ranked teams and lost to two of them. 2025 Ohio State wouldn’t even be in the top three of the best teams LSU played in 2019. And, They wouldn’t have beaten the 2019 Ohio state team that lost to the Clemson team that LSU beat in the Natty. Here are the 2019 teams better than 2025 Ohio state:
1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Georgia
And I wouldn't totally discount Oklahoma, Florida or even Auburn!

Of course they look the part but who they play is important and NO TEAM in the NIL era is as good as any of the NC teams over the last 25 years much less the 2019 Tigers!

Yep! I spend more time on here bitching about NIL and the portal and reminiscing about the good old days than I do watching LSU or any other college football. Maybe Gen Z will keep the game afloat!
