This LSU team was a generationally BAD! Like one of the worst in 40 plus years bad! We lost to garbage OOC teams and were swept in FOUR SEC teams. The best thing we can do as fans is forget this year ever happened and hope it’s the BASEMENT floor for our program over the next 100 years!

For me this team will neither be missed nor forgotten! My hope is that this team will be remembered 75 years from now for being the worst LSU baseball team of the 21st century!

The pitching staff was the worst LSU staff in the last 40 years. I don’t possess the data nor do I care to do the research, but I just can’t bring myself to believe LSU was outspent to a degree that would produce this level of ineptitude!

Jay was 100% correct in that it is/was? inexperience and team cohesion. I think this is always going to be a challenge with the way Jay and most everyone else builds rosters via the portal!

Kind of don't care that we’re losing Milan, Curiel, Brown or any other upperclassman that IMO failed to provide the kind of leadership the team needed to produce and over come adversity through out the year. Yes the HC bears the majority of this responsibility but I’m extremely disappointed with the players and I believe they are a big reason why this team has struggled this year! The team needs a fresh start in 2027…also looks like the freshman that are playing in back end of 2026 may provide them with some momentum as well

I think they have the talent but they slid into a mental funk. Anything can happen if a team with even a little talent believes they can win! See Arkansas Little Rock last year. Not one kid on that team would be starting for ANY SEC team and they nearly beat the 2025 National Champions on their home field to go to the CWS!

Of all the excuses I’ve heard, this one really has me puzzled. If this is the case someone that is as smart as Jay, should have something or someone in place to mitigate any recruiting deficits incurred while competed for the National Championship! This is NOT an acceptable justification for someone that gets paid 7 figures to manage an organization!

Bruh! You can’t make a post on here that doesn’t portray Jay as the best baseball coach since Skip Bertman! Jay’s sycophants will come a running to tell you he won 2 NCs in 3 years! Defense is the 1A answer, pitching staff giving up free bases like Oprah gives out shitty books is 1B. I do believe Evan’s and Schmidt’s ERAs would likely in the low 3’s or high 2’s if we had last years infield. Baseball is such a mental game. Errors lead to more earned runs and over the course of the season it can snowball.
