Presswood is what he puts on them. Paints them green and supposedly sprays with water seal.

NC are you still planting Alyce and Vetch or all clover? As I have said above I’m beginning to think the same way. Our clover fields are way easier, look better and always have more deer in the fall than what we planted from green cover. We add wheat and kill it in February.

And the best bang for your buck in pines for us….if you got long lanes anywhere and everywhere on your property that you don’t plant. Take a disc and scratch them in October. Let the grass start growing the frost will kill it. Spring green will be all the good good stuff..the longer the years go the more natural browse will be in those lanes.

5 years into the process and we have actually started a more hybrid version.
20 acres are in clover that we do spray with cleth, and fertilize 1x a year. We top seed cereal rye or oats into the clover fields late October.
We have 17 acres of regenerative plots I’m still working. The ground is 100% getting better.
Will be drilling vetch and Alyce next weekend.
I’m going to experiment with our worst field this next year planting chicory, red and white clover.
My neighbor is drilling cowpeas into his clover. Interested to see how it affects his clover stand. Any of you ever drilled into your clover?

You could build a million dollar camp on our lease in Bama. The second you dig the first footing it becomes property of the lease owner. When you loose the lease you loose the house. All our cabins can be moved.

If the state elimination of
Income tax stays intact, I see certain areas of Ms exploding.

re: Anyone here own a skid-steer?

When you clear cut you will need it more than the established timber. Part of my lease has 4 year old pines I would love a skid to work between lanes in the planted pines.

I had a 78 ford. There is a key code associated with the vin. Locksmith can cut a key off the
Code. Or at least the model I had could be done that way..

I’m not an internet economist, but I have been in a truck or two. Freight volumes on Chinese dollar general bs are down. Freight on food, chemicals, and general consumer goods are up. Before one of you Debbie downers start telling me I’m wrong, feel free to send me an email address I can get you into a truck tomorrow, you can help my guys take that 40k off and report back.

I probably need to knock on wood, the Allison on my duramax has been flawless. Pulls a 100hp tractor a couple times a month. I always enjoy reading your automotive post downshift..

Why can none of the companies make a transmission to match engine longevity. It’s across the board…

re: What Personal Defense Weapon (think 9mm SMG) is everyone using?

I’m glad I’m not the only one on this board. I was trying to figure out what that means. Maybe personal defense weapon? Then I looked up the guns and they look like toys used to be JI Joe as a kid.
