re: Desmond Howard made it clear that a destination with no AD or President you can trust is..

No reactionary comments from the media in response to the things that have occurred this week will change the fact that LSU is a top job in the country. LSU will soon have a president and shortly after that have an AD. This week will be forgotten by the end of November. Nothing that they say now will change the fact that LSU is going to do what it takes to find a consistent winner. Hopefully our next hire is that guy.

Really? At least they looked like they belonged on the field at the end, unlike BK's ND teams.
That’s the difference between playing a big game against Ryan Day instead of Nick Saban. Be glad you were fortunate to get the weak side of the bracket to make you feel like you were better than you were. And come back and see us when BK becomes the 4th straight LSU coach to win a natty here.

It’s middle of the pack. Bengals are bottom of the pack. For the vast majority of the season the Bengals were 30th or worst. Those 10 spots make a significant difference in the W/L column.

highest their stocks will ever be
BTJ would very possibly be a top 10 pick in 25 with a full year as the #1 option and a pass happy QB. So I disagree that his stock is at its peak. That would also increase his rookie contract from (where he is projected this year) 10-13 mil to closer to 20+ mil. 7-10 mil is a lot of money. Why doesn’t anyone think he would consider this especially with a nice NIL deal?
Where to watch LSU in Nashville

Heading to Nashville this weekend with some friends. Anyone have any good suggestions for a good bar to watch LSU/ Ole Miss on Saturday?

Every kick right down the middle. He will be a strength going forward.

Had these existed 10 years ago, maybe Saban has no choice but to suspend Cam Robinson for felony possession of a stolen weapon.

Yup. Sport is turning into a pro league. Part of what makes CFB so great is that every game matters. That will no longer be the case.
That’s simply not true. Every game mattered when it was two. That hasn’t changed now that it is 4. It won’t change when they make it 12. Example, let’s say the 12 team playoff was happening this year. Had LSU not lost one of the three games they did, they would likely be a lock for the 12 team playoff regardless of the outcome in the SEC Championship. Game 1, FSU, mattered. game 6, Tenner, mattered. Game 12, Aggie, mattered.

He seems to make a lot of plays for the amount of playing time he gets. I believe he goes off next year.

You’ve called some shots before. Is this a gut feeling or do you have some solid info here? I know his name keeps coming up.

Would he be eligible for the bowl game? Finals are over so I would think his academic issue should be settled given that he took care of his business.
Stats for Boutte to consider
Posted by bayoubengal4life on 12/17/21 at 6:59 am
I don’t know how real the Boutte to Alabama rumors are, but if he is considering going to Tuscaloosa he needs to consider this.
In Brennan’s three starts before injury in 2020, our best receiver had accumulated 424 yards receiving and 7 TDs. I don’t recall the exact position, but he was among the top 2-3 receivers if not #1. This was with a putrid Oline on a team replacing 8 offensive starters.
If his goal to be a premier All American type receiver, there’s no reason he can’t do that here. He, more than any player next year, has a chance to be a part of LSU’s problem, or our solution. I hope he stays and cements his LSU legacy and increases our chance to field an instant contender next year as Kelly continues to build a winning roster.

But what happens if Baylor wins and makes the CFP? Definitely not out of the realm of possibility.
