Replacing Yan with Wilson is good big time.

Why would it not be great?
re: Had LSU signed only recruits from Louisiana this year,,,

I would say even in this down year, probably still a pretty good class, but not top 10. Next year, I think they could stay in state and be top5.
re: Article backing up star system?

I mentioned this previously, but some reports show that as high as 50% of 5 star recruits never make it to 'impact player' level.
But I would bet that 5 star players in the Southeast, vs. nation wide, have a much higher percentage than this.
It would also be very interesting to see what the percentage was for 5 star players going to LSU. I would be shocked if the percentage for becoming an impact player was not much higher than 50%.

re: Those of you who said, no way TR switches to LSU need to...

I don't think the receiver think had anything to do with it. I think after his Mom passed, he decided he wanted to move away and start over, and that's what he did. Some kids just make up their mind that they want out of their respective state, and that's what they do.

Miami
No 5 stars
Only six 4 stars
They really sucked considering they claim to be the U. When you consider national prominance vs. star ratings and location for local talent, they are the biggest loser.

How can you count guys like Loadholt that never signed a LOI?

This is all about what have you done for me lately. Miles has a good year next year, and you will hear the opposite. Most fans can't remember anything but the current year.

I agree that the QB spot is at the heart of this so call mediocre record.
re: Zach Lee best pure passer since Matt Flynn?

He said best pure passer (this also includes accuracy and touch), not best at throwing the ball the furthest on one knee.

No grade problems here

Unless a scholarship becomes available before then, Bates will spend his first season on LSU’s football team as a walk-on.
Bates had the option to “grayshirt,” which would have had him enrolling at LSU in January.
“He could have done a classic grayshirt,” said John Heaton, his stepfather, “but besides wanting to practice with the team, Houston wants to go into premed. To not start his classes until January would really set him back academically.”

That makes more sense, because other sites are heavily influenced by the shear number of recruits.

Miles is too classy to participate in any of this, fortunately.

Looks like Auburn is going to be taking the state back from Bama.
re: Before coming to LSU Trent Johnson

I think it is clear that LSU fans are simply not going to give this guy a chance to build a program, which by the way, only has LSU bandwagon fans. Let's just write him off because of your data instead of giving the man a chance.
