Wait that's this weekend.......... WTF

Ain't the same without cha dawg.
Jesus guys, it's called recruiting. The shite doesn't stop just because we signed him, it's between LSU and MLB now. They have $ now and we have to try to convince him that he can make more $ in the future by coming here. Some of the people on this board can't really be this stupid.

re: Question for the Lee supporters

Obviously you don't read or comprehend very well. #1 was that the ball came out high from the QB's hand, Lee was the QB so that would be his fault right??????

08 was a different year then last Sat. I'm not making any excuses from that season at all, a good first sign indicator for you should have been that line about the "spring game" in my post.

I had the oportunity to talk to one of the LSU crew that was on the sideline on Sat and this was from a coaches mouth, not my imagination. My company works with the grounds and facility crews from LSU so I talk to those guys all the time. You may not hear that explanation from the coaches becasue quite frankly they don't owe you shite or an explanation for that play but it doesn't change the fact that, that's what happened on THAT play... NOT 08!!!

Big FAT... you might need to lose a little, the fat is working it's way into you brain and slowing you down.

BTW, if any of you bashing Lee for the pick 6 in the spring game wants to do some research and go back and look at the play anywhere you will see 3 things....

1, Ball came out a little high from the QB's hands.

2, The safety cheated up on the play, a play he's seen them run 100 times in practice and probably had a pretty good idea it was coming.

and.....

3, RS was the slot guy in that formation, a play after he had along run and was probably a little winded, and his assignment is to shield or block the safety ffrom the play so that the inside screen works for the receiver. RS didn't even come close to Loston on the play.

Those things all lead to one very obvious result.. 6 the other way. It wasn't that Loston is a pro for making it or RS is terrible for missing the block or that Lee is just destined to throw pick 6's. It was just a bad combination of things that happened on that play to create that result.

A very good friend of mine is the guy that's heading the auction for LSU, I've got to see a bunch of the stuff bought before it's shipped out and it's really interesting to see some of it. There is so much history with all of the piece's that it kinda sends chills down your spine to see some of it. I hope you're happy with your purchase it's one of the nicest things they had for sell.
G - Dworaczyk and Hurst
T - Barksdale and Shaw/Faulk
C - Hebert / PJ
JJ is a gifted athlete that got by on that at the HS level. My old HS coach was the O-cor at Destrhan when he was a JR and SR and they ran a 1 or 2 read offense to make sure it wasn't to hard to run. He thrived in that system and became a championship QB and national recruit. UT ran an offense that was a limited read offense with VY and won a title with it. I'm not saying the kids stupid or can't learn it but EVERYONE learns at a different rate of speed and his may be a little slower then someone elses. The fix for that isn't to try to shove it down his throat it's to scale it back a little and maximize what he does well and take some of the pressure off of him. The clock managment stuff is a coaching error and we can all see why he isn't better at that. You don't have to be a genius to play this game, even at QB, if the coaches know how to design it to fit you. JR wasn't a genius either but Jimbo knew how to put him in better situations to limit mistakes. MF wasn't a superb athlete but they didn't ask him to make plays he couldn't. JJ needs to communicate with the coaches and swallow his pride a little and say "coach I'm struggling with this, can we do it an different way so that it's easier for me to read it or see it on the field" It's not as hard as everyone tries to make it, just coach the kids that you have and don't ask people to be things they're not.
I don't think you are going to find the answer to that or any other question regarding playing time on this or any other site. You will however get many opinions that have no merit at all and no effect on the outcome you seek.

There is a reason that KW isn't getting as much playing time but no one here knows it, in fact there are only 2 people that do and neither of them is going to say it.

I saw it at midnight last night and was very entertained.... that's all and exactly what it was supposed to be, entertaining. I thought it was very good and was worth the time and money to go watch it.

More comedic relief in this one and more interaction with the robots which I though was cool. More fight scenes and the evolution of the dialog of the robots having been on earth for 2 years made it better. I may not get paid money to critique movies but I would recommend going to watch it.
The ASU game in 05 but going to Washington this year... Should be fun

You rang?????
More then likely it was one of that dudes friends so of course the beating was completely not his fault as he was just asking Shawn to come to his church or something.
DJ can't leave if im not mistaken, got to be a JR to leave. JM is gone more likely then not and Dean may need to come back if he doesn't finish on a very strong note.
I'll cal BS on the Shawn Jordan post.... I know shawn very well and while I'm not saying he couldn't beat someone's arse real bad He wouldn't do it for no reason and crtainly wouldn't need his brothers to help him fight 1 guy. He has way to much going for him right now with the UFC to worry about beating someone up in a bar fight over nothing.

re: O-line worries

We have a great core with CB, JB, and LH. If T-bob's knee is healthy then he will be a great center and that leaves us with having to get 1 more guy to play OG. We've recruited well in the O-line and have guys that can step up, hell JB had a great RSFR year as the starter at OT last year.
BTW ask the Bama defense how slow CS is, didn't he break a 60+ yarder up the gut last year... He's plenty fast enough to get drafted in the 1st. With teams going with a 2 RB attack now he fits the big brusier role, hell if the Saints have another bad year rushing the ball I wouldn't mind him being picked to complement Bush. He goes for 1100+ and 18 TD's again, with a good combine, he's a late 1st rounder IMO.
Goodness I was wondering how many people here were going to to get the run count wrong for Ross. :banghead:

Hitting cost us the game, plan and simple, just like it has in all 13 loses to left handed pitchers. Now I won't go as far as saying PM didn't care about the game but it is safe to say that he wanted AR and LC to pitch in a game where we will probably get a little more run support to get the wins. A coach always cares no matter who the opponent is so to say he doesn't is stupid but they are also smarter then we are and know when to let your ACE get another days rest.

And Chad Jones isn't just some athlete, he was drafted in the 13th round of the draft and was batting .355 in the 10 games he played.

The football program was very afraid he was going to go play pro baseball before ever stepping foot on campus.

Attrition happens, you can't keep everyone.

Clayton had what 80+ catches and over 1000 yards his rookie season... Sometimes people get the big head but it has nothing to do with the S/C at LSU

Hill was slow in HS and just didn't get much faster in college, hell he didn't get much faster in the NFL either and was there for quite a while...

If you were ever an athlete then you will understand this, I played LB at the college level and can promise you that his being undersized hurt him 10x more then being .1 or .15 slower then someone else. The difference between college and the NFL is that you can't have 218lb LB as the norm, those are called safeties. when he got here he prob weighed about that and was faster and in the process of putting on weight from the end of the season till the draft he did hurt his speed but size and strength are what got him on the active roster for opening day not his forty.

Don't forget about Joe Addai running a 4.3 also.

If you want to look at the best measure of a program and it's coaching then look at the players that get drafted VS the players that get into the league, make the team, and produce for that team.

We had people like Ali Highsmith have an average showing at the combine, not get drafted, and then make the team with the cardinals and has a NFC championship ring now. Do you really think that him having a slow 40 was the reason he slipped?? He ran a 4.7 at the Pro Day and it didn't help, but when they got him into camp he was a person that impressed enough to make it as a UFA and contributed on the field lastyear.
