Saivion Jones is so good that even Sean Payton had to draft him!

Am I right?

Does Sean Payton hate LSU?

What’s the WNBA?
Why is every thread “either MM or WW”. It should be neither.
Posted by Amused Lurker on 3/8/25 at 7:07 pm
Both did not succeed as head coaches. MM is team performance and WW is cheating and lying to admin and putting overall athletic program at risk. Clear answer is neither.

If WW is so good and in demand, why hasn’t any other program hired him? Seriously, what’s the real story with him?

Well said! Woody is running a $200m business as CEO.

Thank you for taking the time and providing clarity. Much appreciated. So it seems he took the hit for all the dysfunction around the program under Alleva. Did Woody really have a choice given the direct payment allegations and keeping it from Woody?

I believe that’s a criminal issue. If LSU helped cover that up, RICO charges?

Do you know all the facts of the Will Wade, Miles, and O situation with the NCAA? Did Wade cross a line somewhere else?

Facts don’t count when I goes against your narrative.
re: Former LSU DC Daronte Jones is a leading candidate to become Jacksonville Jaguar DC

LSU hired BK to do a complete reboot of the LSU football program and culture. Due to Covid and Program/Coaching and players issues, the administration was seeing declining revenue and booster support and took direct matters to correct an extreme situation. Unfortunately, that usually means a complete house cleaning and some good employees can be lost in that process. Daronte was only with LSU for that one year and who knows what his internal position was regarding O. Best of luck to Daronte at Jax.

Money. I don’t know why people keep forgetting that It took LSU until July of 2024 to merge TAF with Bayou Traditions and start raising serious dollars for NIL. It was about fundraising through TAF and getting the money.
re: Did l s u spend twenty million last year?
Posted by Amused Lurker on 1/23/25 at 9:17 am
LSU may spend $20m in 2025, but I read where we were middle of the pack in the SEC last year $8m - $10m.

No. Football contributes $50m in profits to support other parts of the athletic dept. we have solid programs across the board because of football.

It’s amazing people don’t understand that. And Economic value is likely how Woodward is evaluated.
re: WSJ: LSU would be sixth most valuable football program in an open market.
Posted by Amused Lurker on 1/22/25 at 6:19 pm
Economic Value has nothing to do with football rankings. I know this will be painful, but economic value to the University is how Woodward is evaluated. Probably blows your mind.
re: Credit to the LSU Staff helping JD5 get back his mojo after ASU
Posted by Amused Lurker on 1/20/25 at 9:41 am
I know this will anger some, but if JD5 had shown up in game 1 against FSU and had gotten only one first down against Ole Miss, we would have been in the playoff. Can’t say the same about Burrow. He overcame a very depleted defense at Texas and willed that team to win every game until the D came around at the end of the year. LSU D played great football during the playoff run, but was giving up big numbers all year. Burrow just out scored everybody - including Bama at Bama.

Neither Jayden or Burrow were considered elite when they came here.
