As in Allen Stansberry?

You must be a mid-90’s LSU fan like me. In hindsight, the best time.

Or are you Allen?

Awesome! Thanks for posting this. I was there. Great to be reminded of the effort and intensity of guys like Savoie, Booger, Cleveland, Northern, and Faulk playing for a 6th or 7th win and an Indy Bowl bid to face Nick Saban. Seeing this reminds me that those days are gone forever. Seriously underrated defense when people name the top LSU defenses

DL of Northern, Gilyard, Wiley, Booger
LB Stansberry, Rogers, and I forget the Mike but think he wore 46
DB Tory James, Talvi Crawford (RIP).

You are correct that this crackback block would now be flagged. Pussification.

ETA - I think the MLB on that defense was Mike Calais #56 but think he got hurt mid season.

Over the next two weeks countries will try and negotiate a new deal on climate change, with a particular focus on channelling more money to forest protection.

Yep, the channeling money part is correct but on forest protection, Isn’t this the same climate conference that carved a new road through the Amazon to permit dignitaries to attend?

Guaranteed Reece throws “strong arse offer” out there and then does his smug smirk like he’s the smartest person in the room.

And I’ll add that he will always be a threat to leave wherever he is (ND or LSU) for OSU, the second that job comes open.

Why would a dude who played for ND (got his arse whipped by LSU in the 06 Sugar Bowl)

Marcus Freeman played for Ohio State.

This is precisely why Saban retired and why he won’t be back. He said it himself. Coaches can no longer motivate a player to “improve their brand” in order to get paid because they are already getting paid.
And it’s predatory. We stopped cigarette ads because it was proven addictive and destructive but I hear and see ads everywhere “sign up today and receive $500 in free bets”. Might as well offer $500 in free heroin and tell them “always use your heroin responsibly”.
This is why you always leave room in front of you and monitor your rear view mirror while slowing or stopped. I tell my new driver kids, when braking or stopped, the real danger is behind you. Be aware and leave yourself options.

That being said, holy shite. Never expect something like this to happen.

With the way Pavia played on Saturday, just wait and see what Reed will do.

As pissed off as I was Saturday, I can think of 3 distinct plays by the defense that might have changed the outcome.

2 over pursuits by Perkins off the right edge. Horrible inside angle that ended up using his speed against him. Gotta rush with outside leverage there.

Just before half with Vandy at edge of FG range. With a 3 man LSU rush, Pyburn concedes the edge by appearing to run his own twist (ok, maybe it was the inside guy who didn’t twist) which gifts Pavia a 15-20 yard gain and sets up the chip shot 3 befor half.

Pavia was definitely a baller Saturday but we had our chances and F’d them up. Maybe the magic of night in Tiger Stadium will let us get it right Sat.
Member that time Joe Burrow ran the read option to win the game Mr Coach Klein? I member.
