Six months ago, he was projected to go in the first round of the NFL Draft. Still not selected?

Seems to me to be the difference between going to a real bowl game and an invite to the local toilet bowl.

LSU will be fired-up and play much better! O-line and D-line might even make a few good plays. Too bad it's not enough. Coach O should be cleaning out his desk.

Gators - 35
LSU - 7
How about Les. We could save some buyout cash, have a good excuse to lose to Alabama again, keep the grass down on the sidelines, and save the salary of an offensive coordinator (run 3 plays up the middle and pass on third and six). Still, as bad as he was, I doubt we'd give up over 200 rushing yards to Troy. Art Bryles?

I stayed in the South Stadium in 62. My roommate was from India or Bangladesh, didn't speak english, and wrapped himself up like a mummy in a sheet at 9:00 every night. Friends of mine would come over, drink beer, listen to the radio, and on occasion, hit the books. My roommate never made a sound. I began to think he was mute. I might have ridden home with you (I remember several times paying a buck for someone to drop me off on 61 at the airport in Kenner.) I'd go into a local tavern and call for a ride to come get me.
Moved to a frat house for second semester - glad to get out the sauna.

I agree about the O-line, but over the the last five years, LSU and sandcastles have a lot in common - they both look good till the TIDE rolls in!! :banghead:

re: Bruce Arena to save the day?

Hiring Bruce is just a move backward. However, I'm not sure any coach can produce a world class team until there is some realization that the technical skills of the players needs to improve. Way too many lost balls, bad passes, poor decisions, etc. Our style of play (maybe best for the skills available) won't produce consistent winning against the quality European & SA teams. If you watch some of the U-17 World Cup, you'll see where we'll be in 5 years - barely competitive.
